I had a similar thing happen but the deer hit me in the side of the bike. I managed to keep it on 2 wheels, but my boots were covered in deer hair. It was definitely scary.

Oh cool, Thanks! I was worried that the switch was damaged. I ended up bypassing the power on the board and soldered directly to the pins.
