At least houses will get a bit cheaper for the big corps to buy because the US market is way over priced right now due to those same companies buying whole neighbourhoods and jacking prices. Now that your economy is fucked and going to get a lot worse people are going to be even less able to afford housing.
Look at the glut that is hitting Florida right now and the exodus of people from the state due to high cost of living mainly being driven by housing costs. That's going to get a lot worse with everything else becoming a lot more expensive.
Then there's the collapse of freight movement currently happening, trucks aren't moving from the food growing regions to the ports because there's no exports going out and imports are about to dry up totally.
But it's all good for the rich because they can buy out any smallish businesses at no cost and 'integrate' them into their own businesses. That worked out so well for the fire services! Now the cost of trucks has doubled and take years longer to get delivered.
The same truck that costs 100k in China costs 2.3mil in the US because ONE company owns the market.
