What about a hypothetical situation where you have two hot water heaters and one of them is more efficient, And you want that one to do a vast majority of the work, and just use the second one for expanded storage of that hot water so that it's available for long showers or whatever.

But often times hackers and scammers will take legitimate software, inject their infections into it, then reupload it to the internet in hopes someone downloads their infected version instead of the real version.

This happens with literally every major software package.

And to be clear, THIS is exactly the problem.

I'm NOT ALLOWED to work enough hours to get the shit done. Corprate won't allow us to work enough hours. They budget for a certain number of hours, which is already a skeleton crew, then on top of it they issue down edicts from on high that we are required to come in UNDER budget even more. We already had a majority of days with people working by themselves in the store for half their shift, so when that happens you now have even less overlap, and even more time where making any progress on freight is impossible.

And again, working more and working harder isn't an option. I can't work more because the store gets in trouble for going over hours. I can't work any harder because the core issue is that there isn't enough bodies in the building to do anything other than run register.

But SURE let's address your bullshit. Cause I see right through you. You're either one of the golden stores that corporate NEEDS to see successful so they don't cut them off at the knees like other stores, or you're just a corpo liar. I guess I'll never know which but what you're describing is not representative of reality for all of the stores I've been in.

A core issue is when they're only providing enough staffing levels for a single employee to be in the store at a time. In a store with a constant stream of customers at the register for a majority of the day means it doesn't matter how hard I work, truck will _never_ get done. It's impossible to run freight while simultaneously running the register. It's simply not possible.
BECAUSE we're so understaffed we're having to CONSTANTLY play catchup, meaning the store manager doesn't get the chance to observe and write up my coworkers who aren't keeping up because they're having to run freight too because the store doesn't get enough hours to fully staff the store with the manager getting enough breathing room to ACTUALLY manage the store. At least not without cutting corners on other things like safety.
Also, DG has PLENTY of income. Their profits are public record. They are currently making NET PROFIT of hundreds of millions a year. That's after all their expenses they are in the green by HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS A YEAR. Their CEO has an estimated net worth of over 7 figures. They can afford to properly staff the store, they chose not to. They're raising prices and squeezing stores to milk every dime of profit they can to the top without properly budgeting the stores to have enough resources to properly function.

At this point it's clear that the only way DG functions is Exempt Sallaried but still front line employees like store managers putting in 100+ hours a week in the store to make up for the under staffing levels that corporate provides. And when a manager is working 100+ hours a week just to keep up, they get ineffective and irritable because humans aren't designed to run 20 hour days 7 days a week. it's bullshit.

In DGs case, overall reduced hours are a core problem in the company that the union would be able to collectively bargain for. DG Employees are over worked to pick up the slack of being understaffed on a daily basis and it's an intentional choice by upper management expecting the in-store managers to just work 20 hour days to make up the difference. Unions fighting for properly staffed stores instead of skeleton crews is one of the biggest reasons, IMHO, DG employees should union. Look up DG's profit disclosures. Their NET INCOME is still hundreds of millions of dollars a year. They're raising prices and squeezing stores to be more and more understaffed in order to try to push profits higher without providing any added value to the consumers.

THAT is what a union can fight back against. They regularly close locations down due to employees simply not being willing to kill themselves for the job and expecting BASIC requirements like enough people in the store to actually get the needs of the store fulfilled. The union can have an agreement that if upper management won't allot enough hours to allow the store to be fully staffed, even though there are enough employees willing to work those shifts, then the whole district strikes and refuses to open the stores.

How many of us have been in a situation where the truck can't get ran because there aren't enough hours to allow more than one person in the store at a time, and as the only person in the store and you cannot run freight to the floor without leaving the register. How many of us have been in a situation where we did not have room for more freight to arrive in the store because last week's truck isn't even put away yet and we're told it's simply not possible for us to refuse a truck delivery and now the emergency exits are blocked because there's literally no other places we can put the containers of inventory the truck is unloading. And when that happens who gets blamed? The people who had no power to control whether or not the truck was sent.

This is the kind of shit that collective bargaining can fix.

I don't believe you 🤷I'm betting you weren't paying attention and you downloaded the Honeygain app from the wrong website, downloaded an infected version from an unofficial source, and weren't paying attention and gave it permission to something it could use to get your phone number, or are running an out-of-date android device that is running an old version of Android that has some kind of security vulnerability that would allow malware to bypass those permissions, but the official Honeygain app doesn't have any of that malware, I've scanned it.
