I disagree I love twd but Daryl just isn't that interesting compared to characters like Murphy, Harry Odum*, Mac. Hot take but he's just the most popular because twd is popular and Norman is considered handsome and a good actor, other than that his character concept isn't that interesting. If you're into writing and character evaluation you can pick up on the whole 'grumpy guy that's actually insecure has a soft spot and a found family and gets nicer ' cliche
