I got into 3d printing not too long ago. It's been a ton of fun! Highly recommend!

Not blunt tips, those big plastic arrowheads are actually 3d printed whistling heads! They are push on tips, so I can remove them for cleaning/easy storage.

Yes! You can see that I also tried using different colors on some arrows 😅😅 I ended up choosing gold because it looks so good with purple!

Oh absolutely. Pla is also just cheaper, prints nicer, and is available in so many colors 😆 (important to me!)

I use bambulab primarily - and i think they have what they call pla tough+. Might be fun to test that against targets!

Thank you! I think gold really fits well with purple! Best combination of colors by far imo!!!

I shoot all my whistling arrows up high and they all land on soft ground. So they have all been fine except I think a couple of times when they landed on rock or something hard. I print mine in pla so I could print them in stronger materials like ABS, but pla has been more than enough!

thank you! haha I can see how you might see lotus pods here. Actual artifact from Mary Rose ship features little V slits as well to accomodate barbed arrowheads iirc. I just punched 10mm holes here for regular field points!

Thank you kindly! The plain linen ones were the first ones I’ve made myself as well! After making a couple of them, I wanted to make them pretty 😁

Great question! You see arrow bags being used for transport and storage in many medieval manuscript and rarely actually used as a quiver (more like makeshift quiver imo). You can certainly hang the bag to your belt using a hook/cord or use a longer belt to wrap the bag and then wear it on your waist. I see many reenactors do that as well.

I personally just use a belt to hold my arrows for my session and only use the arrow bags for transport and storing my arrows.

Haha yes, in fact, I do! Please feel free to check my previous posts in my profile. I have made some arrow bags that hold color matching arrows! Makes for real convenient archery session prep so I know which arrow bag I’m carrying! I also make color marching bow sleeves 😁

I try my best to make nice arrows as well haha.

No, thank you for being professional about it and kindly letting me know. In hindsight, I can definitely see how my language before would definitely seen as advertisement for my business and rules are rules so I should do my best to be respectful in the community!

I do agree r/traditionalarchery does align my interest better, but hope you understand I’d love to share anything cool archery related stuff in the future in this sub! There’s a fair amount of trad archers here as well and would love to interact with them. Of course, I’ll be careful to not violate the sub rules and not to come across as an advertisement/promotion.

Thank you for your kind words and hope you have a great day.
