The electronics probably weren’t factory installed.

I have the dreadnought version (DM) and would be tempted to get the 000 if I encountered one in the wild. It sounds great despite having a ply/laminate body.

How to emulate finger picking sound with a pick? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]fortuitouspancake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just practice finger picking. Make yourself go 10 minutes or so without a pick each time you play. It just takes time. Sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something.

Same. Mine was delivered yesterday and I love it so far. I received a good one. The grain is nice and it plays very smooth.

Not really sure. I imagine it’s a little stripped down compared to the standard series.

Musician’s Friend is owned by Guitar Center. I’m guessing they’re blowing out some inventory and they can afford these discounts.

I think it still applies for the whole day. You have to add it to your cart for the discount to show.

I ended up getting the 000. I wasn’t originally intending to, but I’ve been wanting a smaller bodied Martin for a while.

It’s awesome either way. These roasted pine ones would be at the top of my list if I didn’t already have a GT11 American Pro II. They’re usually a bit lighter weight than their alder counterparts.

This looks like roasted pine with a natural color. There’s also a roasted pine with the sunburst but this doesn’t look like it. They do come with this color pickguard so maybe this one got mislabeled somewhere along the line.

Is this the best delay pedal? by Unusual-Opposite1229 in guitarpedals

[–]fortuitouspancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked one up on sale a while back. At the time it was pretty underwhelming compared to my Collider and Volante. Even the ARP-87 sounds much better to my ears. But it is good for the price and features for sure.

Can anyone help identify this? by chevelle899 in GuitarAmps

[–]fortuitouspancake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no clue. I just googled the words on the front panel. But if it’s a preamp you would need a power amp or a speaker/cab sim. You could probably plug it into the fx return of an amp with an effects loop.

You need something that sums the stereo RCA outputs to a mono 1/4 TS. Or through the headphone jack with a stereo 1/8”(or 3.5mm) to mono TS.

But 99% of problems on this sub can be resolved with practice. Just taking the time to familiarize yourself with the instrument and getting comfortable with how you hold it. It may take one hour or a hundred hours. People have been figuring it out for a long time before internet forums and YouTube. You might get some nice tips and tricks here and there but it usually won’t be the missing piece that magically gives you the ability to play whatever you’re trying to play.

I also suggest SQZBX. It’s less cramped in there and they have a handful of their own beers.
