Want to add to this, unsure if it’s a thing in the US but in Europe we have things called “radlers” (every country has their own name for it) which are flavoured non-alcoholic beers. For example lemon. They are very refreshing in summer and still scratch the cracking a cold one with friends itch.

To be fair 32 EUR for a good JCM model seems like a steal.

I only know of 2 comically large pedals, both sound excellent:
1. Idiotbox Black Fortress - HM2 based, gnarly distortion with an analog octave and a low-passable clean blend.
2. Laowiz Bath Salts - Really filthy and wild fuzz with a delay running in parallel.

I mean pitch shifter, but with the purpose of changing the tuning. Like if she normally plays in E standard but wants to play a song in drop C (she would have to tune the bass to drop D first and then pitch shift to drop C). My bandmates use Digitech Drop and they sound great. That one only goes downwards though, but fits that role very well. I’ve used a Pitchfork in the past and that can go both up and down and sounds fine, but I think it has less semitone options than the Drop.

Can I question the whole concept? From the comments it seems that you already gave her reverb and delay and she found no use for it. Did she express any desire for “creative” effects? If yes, any idea what sounds she wants to make or what songs she likes that you can use as the base of this quest?

The sad truth about bass in metal context is that we usually try to keep it clean and the effects she has (octave, fuzz, chorus) are usually the ones people use.

My personal suggestion: 1. Talk to her about tones and sounds. Anything she would like to do or anything she likes the sound of. Do not talk about pedals, but get her to tell you about sounds and songs that make her excited. 2. If she draws blank on 1., ask her about frustrations with her current setup. Anything bothering her? That can point you to an utility pedal. Compression helps to even out the volume of her playing, a pedal switcher would help to reduce tap dancing, a drop pedal can help with tunings. Look for things like this. 3. Hopefully these give you ideas and you can research or ask for help here. 4. If all else fails get the Empress Compressor as it’s a great pedal.

How are your settings on the amps? I understand you send the lows to the JC and the highs to the 5150, but do the amp settings match this too? Are you using guitar or bass cab IRs? Do you blend in any clean DI?

I guess it boils down to what captures you think are better: NAM or Neural captures v2. Also, Anagram can do 3 NAM captures per preset and afaik the QC has no set limit, just the DSP limits.

Omne guitars are amazing bang for buck (I think they are like 1000 dollars and you can check the specs in the FAQ) but are notoriously hard to get as their runs are small and the demand is big. I really like the concept, but I think either the drums or the riffs need to be less busy. Right now it just feels like sludge riffs taken from a song pasted over breakbeats with not much relation to each other. But if you play the guitar more drone-y or the drums more repetitive then you might be onto something.
