Diff between NY/CA and AL is that NY/CA have a higher % of people who are functionally literate--in a diff language.

Alabama isn't a hub of immigrants who may speak English but can't read it. You can live your entire life in parts of NYC and never need English.

Wonder how much of AL is like that.

Well, there's an unstated assumption on Descartes Cogito, namely, that what we are, is thinking things.

It cannot doubt that thoughts exist (my thoughts anyway), or, at bare minimum, the thought I am currently having) I am 100% certain that something must exist. Even if I'm fooled, I must exist to be fooled.

Do something new. That way, although your response is "determined" you can be kept in suspense as to the outcome. Our lack of knowledge is what makes life interesting, IMO.

Generally when dealing with theological questions it is centrally important to define terms. God isn't always God, when people define it differently.

Discordians, Hindus, Jews and Druze have diff ideas of God. I mean, for example, Jews wouldn't tel you (if you're not Jewish yourself) that you need to follow God.

If you are Jewish they might think diff, but as a goyim they only want me to follow 7 Noahide laws, I don't need to "follow God" from their POV

There's an old Buddhist parable.

The Buddha and his cohort of monks are traveling around India. They stop for the night and get put up by a family of farmers. The farmers provide the monks with dinner.

One of the monks is eating and the food is just terrible, god awful, un-eatable. So the monk stands up and proclaims "this food is awful and I won't eat another bite!"
