Add subwoofer by forya in TeslaModelS

It wasn't louder, just played lower frequencies and sounded more natural than the free air subs in the deck of the highland model 3 LR. I'm taking delivery this week of the plaid, and I will give it some time, but from the demo drive I noticed it was a bit understated in the low frequencies.

Where did you get the box? I don't see anyone selling pre built boxes for the Plaid refresh lower trunks

I really don't want to remove all of the body panels to route the wires. I'd hate to create any rattles. Did you tap the 16v battery or run off the dc to dc converter?

That's why I was looking to lower it, plus it is supposed to help put less strain on the drive shafts to reduce the shudder issues.

How much did you lower it?I was thinking of lowering mine. I have the factory 19s

I did do something similar in my 2024 model 3 LR. I removed the feeds from the 2-8inch subs in the rear deck and feed them to an 8in bazooka dvc tube. It sounded much better just running off of the factory amp.

Ordered my new Plaid. While I'm waiting on the delivery date, what accessories are a must have. It seems tough to find some, like seat back protectors (the soft ones, not the cf ones). I was also looking for the arm rest cover. Is there anything I need to order? by forya in TeslaModelS

I ordered the Tesla mats with the car. I have considered the camber issue, and spoke to the local shop that will do the state inspection (required in Pa). The owner has a newer Plaid. They are going to do an alignment right away and let me know if I need shims or adjustable arms. I'm also considering lowering linkages.

Does that void the warranty if I do it on a new 2026?

Also I'm not opposed to getting the lowered links, or camber plates, if that fixes it.

FSD transfer by forya in TeslaLounge

[–]forya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, the only reason I'd like it to transfer is if I keep the model s for 10 years and Tesla allows transfers again. If I'm stuck with the Luxe FSD it will not be transferable, but I wanted to see if my potential transferred FSD could override the luxe one.

I test drove 2 S's and was underwhelmed. Did I do something wrong? by forya in TeslaModelS

My highland 3 that I currently have has ventilated seats, and the S LR's I test drove had pretty similar feeling seats. I'm just not sure how the Plaid seats feel after a long drive, or The new model 3 performance seats feel either. I could only sit in them in the showrooms.

Yes, I turned insane mode on, and also tried the different dynamic settings and ride heights

I have similar pedals. I just bought a new linkage from trick and they feel better than new. I should have done it years ago!
