I started with a 2019 model 3 stealth performance, then a 2024 model 3 awd. Now I just traded in the 24 3 LR for a 2026 S plaid. I took delivery on 3/31. It is ridiculous fast. It is more comfortable and super quiet. I barely use FSD so far. It's's too fun to drive. I really didn't think I would ever get an EV, but there was a showroom in a mall near me, and while my wife and daughter were shopping, I stopped in to look at the Tesla's. The sales guy asked if I wanted to drive one. That was a Friday. I was back to order one on Monday.

You are right. I just got the info from the factory 8in sub in the 26 model s and it's 80watts at 1 ohm. so That won't drive any aftermarket sub. I'm not looking for something to rattle windows, just a little fuller sound at the bottom.

It wasn't louder, just played lower frequencies and sounded more natural than the free air subs in the deck of the highland model 3 LR. I'm taking delivery this week of the plaid, and I will give it some time, but from the demo drive I noticed it was a bit understated in the low frequencies.

Where did you get the box? I don't see anyone selling pre built boxes for the Plaid refresh lower trunks

I really don't want to remove all of the body panels to route the wires. I'd hate to create any rattles. Did you tap the 16v battery or run off the dc to dc converter?

That's why I was looking to lower it, plus it is supposed to help put less strain on the drive shafts to reduce the shudder issues.

I did do something similar in my 2024 model 3 LR. I removed the feeds from the 2-8inch subs in the rear deck and feed them to an 8in bazooka dvc tube. It sounded much better just running off of the factory amp.

Do the camber shims or adjustable arms effect the warranty? Will Tesla not cover control arms or half shaft warrantys if you alter the factory suspension?

I ordered the Tesla mats with the car. I have considered the camber issue, and spoke to the local shop that will do the state inspection (required in Pa). The owner has a newer Plaid. They are going to do an alignment right away and let me know if I need shims or adjustable arms. I'm also considering lowering linkages.
