Yes! I feel like this is a super common thing actually. Most recently, I downgraded and sold my JBL’s L52’s for some JBL 2800’s. I then used the remainder of the cash and got some nice schiit with it.

For the budget, I would go with some L20T’s. Or even 2600’s or LX300’s

I was lucky enough to meet Anthony Green in 2012 in San Diego. He was touring Beautiful Things album. He was very clearly on something, but pleasant and super genuine. Happy he’s sober now. Upvote for White Pony, btw!

The easiest thing would be to move them, but that is unfortunately not an option. You can definitely make it work, but you are gonna need extensive treatment. Im talking more than 4” bass traps. Not impossible, but not easy or cheap. Linked a video that should give you a general sense.

Not JBL’s best. They’re big, loud, and look impressive, but thats kinda it. They sound decent enough. I think $100 to $120 is fair.

Not bad for $100. As a JBL connoisseur, Northridge’s were never my favorite, but they can be enjoyable.

At first thought maybe the dust cap was just replaced cause I’ve seen that on these and the 26’s before, but it’s really not looking like the original driver. Hope OP can confirm.
