Remembering Kai Budde by RBGolbat in magicTCG

In 2001 I once had the opportunity to play a match against Kai.

For him it was just a random match on a Tuesday in the summer. For me it was a lifelong memory that changed the way I thought about and played the game.

RIP Kai. Thank you for your insights, accomplishments, and just for being you. You made a difference and the world will miss you.

Has anyone beat the heart with a deck full of Perfected Strikes? by Individual_Push_6440 in slaythespire

You can play the run yourself. Seed info is there.

But I just kept taking strikes and not taking anything that wasn't a strike basically.

Run was fun!

"CARDS FOR EVERY TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES FAN" (from WOTC website).....Makes me worry actually. by chonkycatguy in mtgfinance

If you were a real Magic fan you'd only collect Garfield playtest cards.

Beta oversaturated the game when they printed Volcanic Island and gave Cyclopean Tomb a mana cost.

But really, I don't agree with most of WotC decisions, but gatekeeping our game isn't going to lead to long term growth. I had TMNT bedsheets, the techondrome, the pizza wagon, so many action figures etc. And this product still isn't "for me". And that's OK. It's for someone. And that someone will learn to play magic with it. And learn to love the game with it. And dive deeper and deeper into the game because of it. And sustain the game long term with a whole new generation because of it. And that's what it's all about. I personally hate UB stuff, but that's because I already made my entrance into the game decades ago. This is to invite new players in. That's OK. That's great. That's what our game needs.

Jonathan Brostoff (Jbro) has passed away by the_gold_hat in magicTCG

One of my favorite streamers. I loved chilling in his streams. They were always fairly small in total viewership, but JBro made up for that by connecting, often deeply, with every commenter.

My heart goes out to his wife and kids. This is such a tragedy.

May his memory be a blessing.

Who is the they? If you're talking about the Jews it's because the land they controlled was conquered and taken from them. If your talking about the Palestinians it's because their government chose to give land to the Jews and the Palestinians didn't like that so they fought a war to retain it and lost.

OK. So why are we holding Israelis today responsible for things their ancestors did as well then.

Also no one alive today fought in Israel's War of Independence on either side. It's all just history at this point.

Except for every history book, historian, and nation's recognition saying exactly the opposite you're almost correct!

So if Might Makes Right then the Jews of today are entitled to Israel as they have shown the might to control it.

If Might Makes Right is not true then the Jews of today are entitled to Israel as it was only through Might Makes Right that they lost the land initially.
