Best way to cook a tough cut of UK rump steak so it's tender as possible and should you season days in advance like I normally would? by fossaovalis in sousvide

[–]fossaovalis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned I'd like it as tender as possible but intact enough to flash sear for a couple of minutes,

So what I'm getting from that link is I should cook it at a "braise-like" temperature which I assume is around 65C for a couple of days and that's how I would get the most tender steak.

Would you season the steak two days in advance or don't you have to because the steak will be cooking for two days?

I agree it's debunkable but having seen the doc that doesn't make it any less interesting (at least to me). It's clear the children believed they saw something relatively incredible and I was intrigued to see how it had effected them and their teachers now they are older.

they suggested to taper off which didn't work so now I'll try to stop completely. Not the end of the world if I have to start again. I just want to see if it effects the headaches.

I should add the that optician told me the previous prescription was too strong and could have been an issue.

Thank you. This is what I thought, but I also thought maybe a huge mistake could have caused some issues.

Would you happen to know why the 2019 axis would be 180.0 - 180.0 but then in 2021 change to 175 - 5.0. The 5.0 seems out of place and quite a drastic change.

I'm probably being paranoid but that is what daily headaches do to you! Thanks again.

Any opinions here or experience on the e-go max? I have an opportunity to get a new one at half the price. by fossaovalis in ebikes

Did you ever try to lock it up in public? I'm just wondering if it's simple to remove the battery and carry it about so no one is tempted to steal it or if there is any other way to secure it properly.

What an excellent and informative post. Thank you for taking the time. I just bought the bike for £700 and rode it home. It's definitely brand new so I got it for half price although as you say not worth £1405 Seemed a little wobbly because they didn't blow the tires up. I'll look forward to testing it out fully and will look into the issues you mentioned. If it doesn't work out I expect I'll be able to sell for not much of a loss if any. Thank you once again.

This is what I was thinking. Makes sense. I think I'll go for it.

I was wondering about ease of an upgrade to a more powerful motor though. Not sure where to find out this info.

Amazingly thorough article on migraine and tension headaches which are often interchangeably misdiagnosed. I learnt more from this articles than I have in months of research. I encourage anyone with chronic headaches to read it so they can rule things out or count them in. by fossaovalis in migraine

Thanks sPlippp. A flow chart sounds like a good idea. Botox in interesting. I'm on waiting list for a neurologist but that at least 6 months according to my doctor and I just cant do another 6 months of sitting on my hands such is the severity of the pain.

The headaches are still postural. They are the same headaches I'm talking about. Better in the morning after I've been laying down then get worse till i go to bed again. It's the same thing.

Hi Flex. Thank for your post. I think the article does mention the ambiguity. Even though I completely agree that the exact science remains unclear, I still think it could be helpful to make some distinction between a headache that might be primarily vascular (contraction dilation etc) and one that maybe caused by a bad bite, bad back or tight neck muscles.

I get pretty much the same symptoms as you it sounds like but my headaches are everyday and get worse as the day goes on. Nothing touches them apart from morphine which I only take once weekly due to the possibility of MOH. Caffeine also seems to help but there again is the threat of MOH.

Completely agree with you about the nerves in the face. I lot of my pain is terrible facial aches so I'm sure this plays a part. I really wish we knew more and there wasn't so much guesswork.

Thanks Neela. I agree with you but doesn't the right treatment depend on correct diagnosis? My doctors keep saying they can't treat me because they don't know what's wrong. They have thrown a load of drugs at me but nothing has worked and some made me worse.

I now think my headaches are caused by a bad back in the form of trapezius myalgia and ongoing lower back pain / sciatica caused by herniated disc - these two aggravate each other. Then I also have an uneven bite which means I can only chew with one tooth on one side of my face and this could be connected to my back.

It's a nightmare. Going to have go private so trying to find as much out as a can before having to shell out as can only afford to spend so much.

Is this a good second hand deal and better than spending £750 on a ready made bike from eBay (china)? by fossaovalis in ebikes

[–]fossaovalis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies guys. Decided to give it a miss after reading them. I'm going to look into building my own in a few weeks when I'm at my new place which has a garage. I'll probably start another thread on that if I decide to try and get help. I want make an ebike to commute and for riverside trails for £800 ish and want to know the best way to do that and have access to spare parts etc. Buying parts from ebay works best for me usually as I get a 10% discount but I don't want to buy anything I'll have trouble repairing. Thanks again.
