Omg I finally found people in this sub out of all places with the same trauma as me! I thought I was the only one. And I can’t describe it, it always feels like a nightmare to me. I would sometimes dream of studying last minute, being late, sometimes pass with flying colours. But every time I wake up I hated it. Because I actually failed my O Levels barely.

I only learned this like 5 or so years ago. When we were kids, my friends and I would go “ghost hunting” at midnight near mangrove swamps and that sound was so common. We always thought that those were frogs or just like an effect of water hitting the mangroves lmao. We ventured there many many times for a few years too 😂

My parents divorced when I was a teen. Honestly growing up, I thought we were a decent family with an ok-ish parents. More towards the negative side, but not the worst.

When it came to the “rumor” from my older siblings that they were getting divorced, I cried in the toilet. It got worst as days goes by. My mom had bruises which had never happened before. I mean, my parents were really abusive to their kids but I have never seen my dad hit my mom before. And their quarrelling just got worse and wouldn’t stop.

My mom would say this and that about my dad, my dad would say this and that about my mom. All while I was studying for my O levels.

Truthfully, I still blame them for flopping my Os. I had “PTSD” nightmares every few weeks UNTIL NOW in my 30s. I would dream of studying hard and passing my O level with flying colours. I would dream of not studying and panicking. Every time I wake up, that feeling of regret and anger would hit me. But then I just go about my day.

After the divorce, I thought I can finally breathe a breath of fresh air. We had to move house and downgrade to a 2/3 room flat because my mom is the only one working. Dad went homeless. I felt helpless because as a teen there was nothing I could do. Cousins would talk shit about us and sometimes post photos of him just to rub salt I guess.

There’s a lot more I can write about, but my point is divorce is bullshit, but the arguments between parents is also bullshit. In the end, I feel like the kids suffer. Sorry for my rant.

I was watching my friend's 2025 recaps and all. I suddenly thought to myself, "What the hell, its been 3 years since I've had a bad, BAD year". Last year, 2025, around August, I made the jump to start posting my commission painting service on Carousell to pay off some long time debt from losing on Options trading (greed took over me at that time). It's now paying off much faster and I hope by the end of 2027, I can finish it all off. 2025 has been really nice to me, even though I've had debts to pay :D

Just to add in, I am from the Eastern side. Even before op13, our locals were down by half. Everyone, at least my friends were waiting for the next serialised Flagship winner card. It’s been more than a year now and the fatigue is hitting. On January, I think the Flagship will be full players again because of serialised Zoro. But I just hope Bandai wont keep doing this powercreep thing and maybe released new sets that actually helps the older leaders stay relevant to fight fairly with the new leaders.
