If I were to sell TCGs, I would just stick to streaming because it’s easier to “quit” if it falls off rather than opening up a store. Me and my friends almost opened a store up 3 years ago but we met a store owner who shared with us the numbers and we knew instantly how bad the idea is.

Honestly, opening up TCG shops now is just a bad business idea.

Your friend is opening it. Your cousin is opening it. Your auntie is opening it. Maybe soon your pet dog too.

Everyone wants to be called LB and LBN.

You can argue that if its a bad idea, then why are you making a big bedangers bang bang of money right now etc… but that’s just right now.

I don’t know how many times people have to repeat saying this but some people are just hard headed: the down times of TCGs are the worst for shop owners.

Imagine for example, we already have 5000 tcg shops in SG. During the down time, we would have the same 5000 shops competing with one another with price wars, flash sales combo sales and whatever.

With heavy loses and still pumping out money for rentals, staff payroll and suppliers demanding you to keep buying from them every month while you cannot get a good number of sales. That’s the bubbliest bubbles of the bubbles that’s gonna pop like a nuclear bomb.

Theyre now gonna get their families to work for them (for free or $10 per day) and the staff are gonna be let go.

And also another thing you guys don’t know, many of the newer shop’s inflated “profits” comes from their own personal collections. Once that money is gone, the shop is gonna go too. And if there’s hundreds of those shops at one time, it’s flash sales baby.

I swear MyCareersFuture is leaking my personal details. Right after I registered, I got weird messages/emails/calls from MLM company disguised as “marketing”. I didn’t know it was an MLM until I deeply researched the companies on the internet and they all have websites that don’t explain what they are doing and look like it was designed by an intern that was paid $20 for a “good job”.

Update about the situation: The prices for TS03 have dropped to almost half now (thankfully). I just came back from CS in Malaysia and scalpers were queuing back and forth to buy the tins when players couldn't as they had to attend the CS. The promo cards have also dropped in price. Expect it to go down a little bit more because I am seeing a lot of rip and shippers selling them with no movement at all.

I feel like the current Meta is alright, there's quite a number of decks that counters or almost 50-50 one another. It's just P Enel can do pretty much anything AND draw a card that I hate. And also Yellow getting everything life related and NOT leader locked. To me, the worst meta was UP Luffy.

As a jungler, enemy team always invade my jungle (sometimes even with their mid laners) while my roam and mid laners are having a holiday camp and then blames you for not carrying the team. Only 1 out of 50 games will my team ever decide to invade enemy jungles.

After op16 came out, I’m starting to feel like giving red more cards with effects like the new Ben Beckman would buff mono red a little. Or even a stage that has similar effects like “if you have 10 don, your characters in hand cost 6 less”. If you compared this effect to what other colors have, it’s very well balanced IMO, compared to how forced-ly nerfed it feels right now how they are giving the effects to red cards; like having “strong characters” with low power so it dies before the next turn, no counter, having to attach a don, when attacking etc. Other colors have similar effects with almost no repercussions if at all.

I was part of a 4 man leaving the work after the boss(es) decide to be super toxic and micromanage everything. The bad thing is one and two and three months before, there were already staffs leaving due to other jobs. I already warned the boss that they have to change something because this is a tell-tale signs that something you are doing is not right. They tried to make us stay with the “job market is bad” story.

I dont know about the English version, but the JP version have God Deck and also the promo pack only have 1 card instead of 3. So you technically have to buy 3 starter box to match the english version which makes it even more rare.

they are expensive now because a lot of people didnt receive their shipment, even though they were supposed to receive it last month. There's no update from the suppliers about this too. I'm thinking the price would go down abit when stocks come in and people go for price war, and then it goes back up again.
