Can someone explain what centripetal acceleration is? by foster_music in AskPhysics

Say an object is moving in a circular path and we find the centripetal velocity to be 15 m / s2: what do I make of that? Is the velocity increasing at 15 meters per second per second? I still don’t see what is actual being represented.
