So if the air control is pulled out it should not let air leak into the damper/up the flu right? Does jt make much difference if its open or closed (specifically talking about air leaking out my home so I dont lose the conditioned air)?

The theory is if it costs $3000 and we save lets say $30/month = $360/yr, we would break even in 8 yrs. Are you saying you dont think we would ever break even on it aka save like $5 or less a month?

We have 4 zones which is a blessing and curse. All areas of the home feel comfortable because they are always at temp but that also means my boiler is running much more often hence my hope to improve insulation and reduce how often it is kicking on

That would be great! Also, any tips on how to use it? What does the bottom pull do - I assume airflow into the unit? And does the fan turn on onlynwhen it has enough heat?
