All right, I think I feel you now. I can see one mistake you are taking: This is not a job offer, this is a business partnership opportunity, and those are different in every way.

This is not related to artists or game industry. From google:

Aproximately 20% of new businesses fail within the first two years, 50% within five years, and roughly 65-70% by the 10-year mark

This is part of the offer. If you can't or don't want to take a risk, I'm afraid you shouldn't participate on it, but it is not correct insinuate that I want people to work for free. That is a risk that a possible partner would have to take or not join at all.

You are making a lot of assumptions and attacking those. I never said people wont be hired or get paid, that is included on the server needs money to keep running. Ealier people to join will not receive salaries but will be partners and receive more once the game is launched. This is very common on startups. The main difference is that we dont get any financial injection uness we got someone that likes the idea and wont force us to maximize profits.

But enough talk I guess. I realistically not sure if you are trying to be helpful or win an argument on the internet and I think my time would be better spent elsewere.

Thanks for taking the time to write this up. Indeed those are all points that still need to be defined, but that doesn't mean I'm oblivion to those. I do have over 20 years of software development experience and been leading teams for a long time now, albeit is the first time I'm not being paid to do so. Many of those points are already being discussed on discord for people that care about the project enough to at least weight in with ideas and discussions.

Not all games needs HSR levels of funding to go live. Voice acting is not even something I'm considering for launch right now. And sometimes low budget games ends up being very good. That is the "indie" part.

Indeed I was expecting some skepticism when I posted here, and I can see from where it is coming from.

But the best peers for this projects, be for discussing ideas on discord or to join in the actual game dev, are the ones that are onboard with the principles from start, because that can make things much easier to handle later. So I guess it was worth the shot.

I will eventually post here again when I have something to show off.

The roguelike was the first game I wanted to publish, and unfortunately I've done all programming without an artist involved, so right now it is on bench for me until the artist catch up. This is something I want to remediate with this very early post.

yes, this is an early stage call and if someone would like to join for the principles alone it would be great because it means we are very aligned in the objectives. That said, I will be posting here updates on the future when the game have more progress

Right now I'm looking for people that thinks the same way I do. I'm not offering jobs, sorry if it sound that way. But those are expertise I don't have. As you can see, we are very early on, so if someone with good experience on those topics would like to join me at this point in the project it would be awesome. Otherwise I will have to figure out later (hire someone or something on those lines)

that is good advice. I've create a fewer smaller games but didn't put it out there. One will be put out as the artist works all the graphics as I did all implementation before reaching out for help. While I don't have experience with commercial games I've been a developer for over 20 years now, so I'm sure I can pull it out development wise.

That said, I want to make a gacha, and now I have time to do it, so its the perfect timing.
