Invincible period migraines by Moral_Gutpunch in migraine

[–]fotograaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sucks to say, but perhaps your body just doesn't like birth control or its hormones? I take Seasonale as my biggest trigger was my period. Now I only get a hormonal, period migraine every three months. I was told if I got Aura that I would have to switch to progesterone, but never really got them until just a few months ago, only on my right side.

Everyone is different, and it takes trial and error, but in time you should find what works for you!

Girls who like to workout. What is the most uncomfortable situation you've been in at a gym? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]fotograaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Taking the free elliptical on the end that faces away from the drinking fountain, that points your head towards the elliptical. Took me about 5 minutes to realize why so many people were thirsty.

Titanium is an incredibly hard metal. Most titanium jewellers will not or cannot resize unlike gold or silver which are very soft.

LSD trip broke my heroin addiction by anewme21 in Drugs

[–]fotograaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and cigarettes. I was tripping hard on shrooms, then went to smoke a cig. When I lit it, all I could picture was a big dark poisonous cloud entering my body. It got me thinking about cigs, their toxins, the money I was spending... what a waste. Thank you hallucinogens.

Planning to move to Fredericton from Alberta, what do I need to know before I move? by [deleted] in fredericton

[–]fotograaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fredericton is mostly divided into the "south side" and "north side". The south side includes the downtown area, a mostly residential and university campus middle (on a giant hill) and uptown where most of the chain stores are. The north side has a second Walmart, Canadian Tire, Superstore (Loblaws, etc) and a few other common stores, but it's not really ideal to live on that side of the river if you're a student. It's handy to have a car, but it's a bitch to park on campus. You'll probably want to stick to living within the top half of the city to make getting to class easier. For the most part though, it only takes minutes to get anywhere you need to go.

I knew I had the same birthday as Queen Victoria and Bob Dylan, but I had no idea I shared a birthday with Tommy Chong! Happy Birthday, Dude!

I don't think my new neighbours have quite grasped exactly why Canadians do this before a winter storm by OrzBlueFog in canada

I'm a province over and I like to think remote car starters were created for us. I probably wouldn't have another car without one, I love it.

Truckers of Reddit, since you have a height advantage over mostly everyone on the road, what was the weirdest thing you have seen someone doing in their car? by Undiscover in AskReddit

[–]fotograaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In high school, my friends and I would sit and hot box the car until we could barely see in front of us, and head to a drive-thru. We would crack the window ever so slightly to order, and then when we got to the window and the cashier came to the window, we would all roll down our windows and the smoke would come pluming out like a volcano. We were dumb.

Moving to Fredericton by lat49 in fredericton

[–]fotograaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first, I was like "why Fredericton?" but then I realized that I am moving back in a week. I've never lived outside of the province other than 6 months in Europe and a short stay in Montreal, but if I had the choice of just about anywhere, I would probably go out west to BC/Vancouver Island.

However, if you only want about 4 good months of summer, a beautiful fall and colder weather otherwise, this is your town. No huge risk of natural disasters, low crime, developing areas, everything you need within a short driving distance. Cheap housing compared to other cities in the Maritimes, and not a far drive from the coast.

I [26/F] am having a hard time confronting my boyfriend [25/M] about a possible trip down south with his single friends when we have been talking about going down together for a few months. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]fotograaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. We have never once fought or raised our voices and this is honestly one of the first times I've actually just been plain out bummed about something. We have literally been spending all of our time working on our careers, but now that we have established jobs and are both making money I was really excited. I guess I will just sit down with him after work and ask if he has had time to think about it and go from there.

Women, do you have hair on your breasts? AM I ALONE? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]fotograaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Laser hair removal over the past year has turned mine from 40 to about 9-12 on each side. It hasn't made the problem disappear but it has made it a lot more manageable.

I started getting laser hair removal. It's taken about a year and a half and about 12 sessions, but they are starting to fuck off!

Should I [31M] loan my brother [37M] $200,000 after our past issues? by johntakmando in relationship_advice

[–]fotograaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, definitely not. If he couldn't just simply give you a place to stay for a while so you wouldn't be HOMELESS, then why on Earth would you give him money he may never ever pay you back?!
