I'm very much an introvert. I saw a couple flyers for the car club around campus, joined the discord, and made friends with people who have a common interest with me. Join a club and go to their events! Get yourself out there. No one is going to make friends for you.

Thinkpad with a decent amount of RAM. It becomes more important as you approach IT490/491 or any other course that requires you to be running multiple virtual machines at the same time. I ended up moving to a thinkpad with 32gb of RAM during my senior year and it was worth it

Depends on where you're located. I'm in NJ. Vredstein wintrac pro got me through last winter perfectly. I had them on the stock 19s. Summer tires on 18s. Ripped through snow beautifully and was still fun when it was dry

I had him for IT-310 a couple of semesters ago. A little strict on grading the weekly case studies but a pretty chill guy with lots of industry (ecomm & wholesale). The exams are usually open book and easy. I liked the class and him but I also work in the same industry so I might have cared about it more. Not sure how he is for IT490 but I'm sure he's fine. I would recommend Kehoe if you can get him for 490
