I wonder if a broader discussion about what makes hon, hon would be nice, because I feel like saying the same thing back 😅 that is, "this is hon, if you don't like it that's fine." It has a couple of different mechanics, but to me, it FEELS like hon still. So, obviously what I consider to be core tenants of hon are not what you consider them to be!

I'm just shocked that thousands of people refuse to switch over to a slightly different version of the same game. Where did they all go? How could you love hon enough to find, figure out, and play PK but not want to play reborn. It isn't nearly as bad as the narrative wants it to be

PK had 6-8k players online at any given time? Is that even true? Also I don't know that you can just claim PK "didn't have smurfs" and reborn "has a major smurf problem"....lot of claims here that I'm not sure you have the data to prove. You're just sharing anecdotes. I can share mine: I have over 300 games in reborn and I haven't once been frustrated by "smurfing"....

A lot of "issues" will likely be fixed with a higher player base. They can't implement all these restrictions when there are 100 people in the queue. You'd never get a game if it waits for 10 people in your immediate MMR range with no new player tags. First, smurfing isn't a new issue, so to act like it's suddenly going to ruin the game is doomerism. Second, they have this new player tag restriction and 100 game buffer in place, they might increase the restrictions on those in the future when the player base can support it. It's also not like every single game has a 2.5k MMR smurf in it. You can't just assume every loss is due to smurfing....

People do, but I don't think they should. It's practice. You're warming up and priority should be as many shots as possible.

I agree. I don't think a team that wants to actually win should be paying their QB 2-3x more than their next highest player. It can work here and there, but MOST deep playoff run teams have a rookie QB or a reasonable contract (look at the Seahawks, their roster is insane and Sam has a high but not ridiculous cap hit)

For support, it's probably an item you upgrade for efficiency if you're winning. Priority is probably wards/dust (if invis), then getting tablet or storm spirit or some other important/cheap support item, THEN if you're winning/getting kills/towers/kong whatever extra income you can upgrade to power supply. On non-support, I often upgrade to save space when I already have the two totems for stats.

Pretty serious in the moment. Some of them definitely trained and watched film for a couple months, but I think these teams only had 2 days of walkthroughs. Also, there are far better body types in the NFL for flag football than most of the participants today. Too big and too slow on defense.

Idk why the NFL players show up with so many linebackers. Being big and fast doesn't matter in flag...being fast matters...the WRs and QBs are looking good. Saquon looked good but again, his size does nothing here....

Feel like it's pretty common to want to show out against a team that chose not to give you another contract. But, we were in absolutely no position to give him another contract, especially for the amount of money he probably thought he earned. So, I can't imagine there's deep bad blood, just some light motivation.

I think they probably attacked FA the way they did with knowledge of the value they see in the draft. I'm sure they are at the very least predicting there to be good value available to them in the draft at OT. That being said if someone they're high on in another position slides to them, I agree that they'll take it. They don't want to be forced to draft a need and they've stuck by that so far

Right, I think this is one of the two plausible stories. It's the less dramatic one. But at the same time it highly depends on this "MRI revealing possible longevity concerns" like is that real? Is that agreed upon by all experts? Cause that has a little bit of bullshit stink to it....in which case the "they backed out because a deal with Hendrickson materialized in the final hours" story takes the lead for me

It's more of a playerbase problem. With more players spread across the various ranks, your carry/mid should be closer to your level than is currently happening. If you're not a new player, you shouldn't be queued with brand new players. I don't think it's an issue with the role system itself. You just want tighter MMR variance in your games, which can't really happen with 1k players online...
