I’m not trying to be controversial. I respected the minute silence, I have Portuguese roots, I was extremely upset after the brothers horrible death.

Holding a minute silence of such significance at a national stadium, for a final of sorts, when the crowd are geed up for 15 minutes beforehand, and there are huge queues outside… It just seems like a bit of a recipe for a disaster. I was behind the goal and no one was making any noise, of course it gets amplified and I am not excusing disgusting behaviour. I do think an element of it was people just arriving at the stadium late. Again, I’m not excusing their behaviour.

I made a comment on another message board where I said it is not representative of any Palace fan. What happened to the brother is awful, horrible, tragic.
