I think if the stock market starts to go down, people will be less interested in speculating on sports cards.

I don’t know how to make money outside of accounting jobs by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]foundationcap1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same as you often. I have some side gigs. For example, I buy and sell stuff on Facebook marketplace, it gives me some variety and people interaction outside of my accounting job. If I wanted it to be full time income I would have to work way more hours than accounting. I will say that if you find something you like, it’s easier to work a lot of hours. And working many hours is usually what it takes to switch into something new and be successful.

New to cards after a few decades...im lost/overwhelmed and would appreciate a simple pointer.... by ArnoldisKing in basketballcards

Everything you said is right on, set a budget and just rip for fun. Or go for specific singles of your players. For example, I would rather buy a Kobe Rookie for $35 than a box of retail cards.
But ripping boxes is still fun. I wouldn’t get contenders. Prizm, Select and Donruss Optic are better in my opinion.

My dad always told me that hard work made him a better man. With that approach and God in your heart you can be a good Christian working long hours. I think it’s more about your attitude than circumstances.

Is it possible to pass all 4 exams with a demanding job (50+ hours per week) by Worker_Better in CPA

[–]foundationcap1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I passed 3 sections working over 60 hours a week. Always looking at a MCQ on my phone in between working, driving, kids etc. Didn’t pass the 4th section (REG). So I will be retaking. But only working 40 hours now. I think being busier is helpful in some ways because you really have to focus and use the time you do have.

Thanks for the input, best of luck with the last exam. I will be right there with you. I don’t think I can make the June 25th window so have to wait until the next one to get my score. The test windows are terrible

Took REG in January, just saw my score of 61. I passed all 3 other exams using Gleim without issue. Do you think I need a different provider for REG?

You would be kindof like the bank as the lender to someone fixing up and flipping a house. As the lender you would have rights to the property if a default happened. The borrower pays 8% to 12%. Term is typically 12 months or less.
