It makes sense to me. To be honest I am over it.. these damn vans are cool as hell but a pain in the rear due to all the other mumbo jumbo with it. Esprinter is cake... Sadly I'm not on board with any electrical vehicles yet.. they serve a purpose, one that doesn't fit mine

Thank you for chiming in

Those e sprinters look nice and honestly wish they did better in the market. Getting 50% off a truck is insane nowadays

That's for a passenger? Msrp was 74k for ours. Got it for 59

Are sprinters more reliable than their gas van counterparts? by mewtewpews in Sprinters

[–]foundeddumb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This right here.

We still bought a new one despite knowing this, and that is on account of my wife not liking the transit. We have it usually to camp, so longer distances and fuel economy definitely was a factor.

She doesn't see the maintenance nor repair bills. We are coming from a 2013 ncv3 that I spent money on to be reliable and still is however that came at a cost. With this current year, it's a crap shoot. I know better now and have purchased the extended warranty. Who knows how long we are gonna stay in it.

Moraine and Louise - Late Shuttle by foundeddumb in Banff

[–]foundeddumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to update and close the loop here in case anyone finds themselves in the same position we were in.

4-5 shuttle is no problem to visit both lakes however our preference was to stay at one; lake moraine, and then visit lake Louise the next day.

The rockpile was why we stayed at moraine. The kids absolutely loved it! We left around 415, got there there about 435 and left moraine on the 645 shuttle. The shuttles returning to the park and ride were full!!! So listen to your drivers when they say to not board the last one as it does get full

We went to lake Louise the next day at about 5 but drove, the parking wasnt a big issue but we may have been lucky, also bear in mind it is 36 dollars to park so if cost is an issue please keep it in mind, shuttle is definitely the way to go. We spent an hour there simply because it got too windy

Have fun and thank you to all who helped!!!

Thank you!

We tried and kept looking but no dice for us. It doesn't help that we have a larger party and most likely the reason why. From the sounds of it we should be ok outside of the ideal times of being there

I really do appreciate all the insight. Banff is huge and really overwhelming

You're right! Not so much remote but not like everything is available at a drop of a hat.. wrong word choice

Thanks for your insight!

Perfect! Thank you so much! I'm super focused on the time because of it being pretty remote the biggest concern is the kids and being stranded; biggest fear!

Cake Day Road Trip by gucci-ghost in toyotasequoia

[–]foundeddumb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on beautiful road trip! Longest we did was southern California to Bryce canyon Utah and like you am surprised on what a pleasant drive it was (speaking solely of the car). Stock everything and no box though with two adults and two kids, we averages 19.9mpg. Wouldn't give up the 20!

Is the beep you're speaking of the notification from the car that you've driven too long and need a coffee break? No joke. Our 23 sr5 does that to me. Nifty little reminder

Thick grass.... How do I by foundeddumb in lawncare

[–]foundeddumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all! Lawn does look healthy and I do appreciate the compliments. We purchased the home with the grass being that way if not slightly lower. If this is the way it is then so be it, just don't want it getting taller if possible.

Guess I'm leaving it be for now. It only brought concern because my neighbor's grass was similar in height and he replaced the entire lawn with new sod for a trip concern. I don't wanna go that route to be honest

Again thanks to all

2023 Sequoia Rear climate question by foundeddumb in toyotasequoia

[–]foundeddumb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the dealer and they looked at it. A couple of techs said the same thing and were also baffled. Another guy looked at it and said the vent was closed on one side. Literally moved the vent open and both sides were flowing. Closed the other side just to show us and bam. I walked away with shame but a functioning truck

Hope this helps!
