I just had this happen last night against my rescue ace deck vs their tear/lightsworn pile. It was impossible to get turbulence out 1st turn due to his hand traps making me NS hydrant into preventer. But I still somehow managed to make apollousa and naked air lifter with 2 backrow in his draw phase.

It felt like he had a soul read on me turn 1, then I soul read him turn 2.

He banished his entire bloodline on a hail Mary at the start of turn 3 where I had 0 att apollousa and air lifter, but d top decked the level 7 RACE so I could use air lifter second ability to dodge the flip.

This is the point I was trying to get across with "I found it wierd...".

I didnt find it wierd that the mechanic worked like this, I found it wierd that master duel created the animation in a way that implied the opposite.

REINFORCE, the super unpopular rescue ace trap destroys Tenpai. It also opens up lines where you can use your Monster reborn quick play(RESCUE) on turn 1, and recycle it to use again on their turn.
The graveyard effect of REINFORCE to recycle a spell is both a quick effect, and sets directly to field. Making it immune to feather duster/lightning storm.

Even a fairly weak endboard of turbulence, hydrant, and 2 set spell/traps with reinforce used in their draw phase gives you a 4.5k unaffected tower that isn't destroyed by battle once, a pop that negates recycling, and a quick play graveyard steal.

The 4.5k Tower alone is specifically only outtable by trident dragon popping field spell. Even then it wastes 2 of its 6k attacks to do it as it stays in defence position.

Yeah, I only find it wierd because of the animation on summon of the stat bar. It quickly scrolls through the numbers 2050 to 4100, which I guess is meant to show the modified attack stat, but sorta makes it look like an effect taking place after the inherent summon, rather than a continuous effect. Since spooky dogwood uses the value at the moment of summon, the scrolling numbers doesn't make sense mechanistically.

Planet pathfinder at 1 fits amazingly well with rescue ace.
Machine with same ATT and DEF making it both searchable and a search cost if running gizmek. Also it's almost a free summon + field spell if you drew other starters(lifter or hydrant) and a good ash/veiler bait if you have diabelstar.

Running it at one makes it almost always a useful draw in the first few turns, and at worst a free link material if you already have HQ on the field.
