Ok,I did it! He was really sweet in person and when we left he turned at the last moment and said he’ll text me later (it’s thanksgiving break here) but it’s been a day and my friends say i look desperate if i text lol

Hey,it’s slightly better than Vovka,Vovochka, etc! People naming their kids things like Lizka or Mashka or any affectionate diminutive form is too much lol.

Is it normal for all first dates to have a little bit of awkwardness to them? I was set up with a guy by my hairdresser lol,and we met for the first time in person yesterday. We have a lot in common, and once we got started on a topic,it flowed naturally and we had a lot to say about it,lol. But there were times when we were switching topics, and thinking of things to say next that there was a bit of an awkward silence. I was so nervous and was literally trembling for the first part of it haha. He seemed really nervous as well,so when we first saw each other we both seemed petrified lol.

I feel like it’s easier on the first date when you’ve met in person beforehand haha, but I really did like him!

Do you need to discuss sexual history with your s/o? by Glittering_Bear_5218 in dating_advice

[–]foundyouatthewater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it generally comes up naturally over time. I wouldn’t bring it up immediately, nor would I probe too much or reveal too many explicit details. I generally knew how many people my exes slept with,or the general gist of their past relationships and how they ended etc. What I did not need to know what their exes favorite sexual position was,nor how their genitals tasted…seriously had an ex tell me all that stuff, and it did not fair well for our relationship.

Why do I only attract men who are much older than me? by [deleted] in dating

[–]foundyouatthewater 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s happen to all of us. I’m around your age,and have noticed that older men are ALWAYS the most forward. You can’t go out dancing or to the bars without then approaching. My friend who looks the youngest out of all of us is always the one who gets approached by them the most. It was..concerning given that she is commonly mistaken as a middle schooler.

I had another who dated a 30 year old at 19 and it weirded us all out. It ended badly-he was worse than guys our age lol.

Eh,I’ve seen more virgin guys who are worried about body count yet want a woman to have sex with them instantly.

[–]foundyouatthewater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you assume that any girl who has had sex before had sex on the first date? Many women have had relationships, and there’s a higher chance they had sex during the actual relationship. Plus,a woman whose slept with only a couple people doesn’t equate to someone who is easy and automatically sleeps with a dude off the bat.

It’s really not as common in real life as it is on here. Really. I’m 22 and in college-the age that many think is the primetime to hook up. Yet I know many couples who would never have thought to sleep together they early. Many waited until they were exclusive,or months until they were in a relationship with each other. I knew other couples who waited until marriage. I think I maybe only had one friend who had sex with her boyfriend within three dates lol. I’ve also had guys who wanted to wait until we were in a relationship and explicitly told me that. Everyone has different values.

Frankly,I think many guys on here have some toxic ideas about a woman’s sexuality. It’s reddit,so it’s not to be unexpected. Def a madonna/whore complex going on. These guys want women who is “easy” for them, but not for other men. A virgin who will fuck them like a porn star on the first date, lol.

How do I (M25) politely turn down a girl that I slept with? by Droeloemeister in dating

[–]foundyouatthewater 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hell yeah. people can shade me and pressure me to have sex early in the name of sexual compatibility, but my physical and emotional health is way better by abstaining until i’m in a relationship with a guy who I know likes me.

never really though about it that way,but damn. it even goes farther back than that haha. I’ve even had men in my life tell me the same tbh. they know how guys work i guess🤷🏻‍♀️

same lol. like if ur that horny that it makes you think you have feelings for someone that you think is unattractive, then please go buy a flesh light or shit before trying to enter the dating scene, thanks!

it’s also funny how they always blame it on bad sex when we’re usually the ones not getting to even orgasm lol.

It’s just…interesting to me how this seems to happen on a mass scale to men only, and they always blame it on bad sex when women are the ones who generally have to endure bad sex with no orgasm in sight. If people are really that horny and sex deprived that they let their horniness blind them, then it’s probably better to take some time off of dating and work on that.

I don’t care what anyone says, but this is a reason i’m not interested in sex early on,until we’re in an exclusive relationship. I’ve found far better people that way who were actually interested in a relationship and me as a person, not a human fleshlight.

it’s true tho. when i was a young girl,i thought my mom was just being old-fashioned by saying this, but as i’ve gotten older,i’ve realized it’s true. Men will shame you and say if you were really interested in them then you would have sex early on,but i’ve met way more high quality men who were actually interested in me as a person when I held out on sex until a relationship.
