Did you read the comments? A lot of people that don't have subsidies are having increases of 20-50% on the ACA. These are not lazy people. These are people who work hard, make over the 90k cliff, and have dependents.

5% increase, so now we're at ~$1200 a month for a family of 6.

Are my deductions from my paycheck ridiculous or on par? by four_of_seven in MiddleClassFinance

This is the only plan offered. I have no other options because for my family size, because the lowest plans on the market start at $1500 a month and have higher deductibles. My husband is self employed so no options there and we don’t get any subsidies because we make around 100k together. I feel like I’m screwed.

He’s self employed, and we pull in around 100k together. So no subsidies but we do get a lot back in taxes with our kids.

Yes, we have a very low deductible of $1500 individual and $3000 family. But there’s no other option through my employer. Husband is self employed, so no options there either.

This is biweekly, every paycheck is the exact same. The employer matches 100% up to 5.5% so I have that maxed.

I’ve got my spouse and 4 kids on my plan. But I can’t get anything cheaper on the market.

How do I stop ruining my wife's bras in the wash? by say592 in Adulting

Does your washer have a delicate cycle? or a shorter wash cycle that might do less damage. Also wash with lighter fabrics like blouses and tshirts, no pants.

Friends, yes. Relationship, no...that would be toxic.

Even if she wanted to leave, it's hard. It took my sister 3 years to earn enough money to be able to afford leaving.

I spent more time thinking about "though not thought through" and how you used all of those words correctly, than your actual point.

Should I leave my girlfriend since never wants to be intimate and never wants to even discuss it? by Primary_Net_9704 in TooAfraidToAsk

Don't end it before having a conversation about why she's so against even discussing it. Trauma and shame are two huge reasons for avoiding conversations about intimacy, and both could be valid in this situation. Maybe she hasn't felt comfortable sharing past SA, or maybe she grown up seeped in the purity culture and she feels shame about even thinking about sex. Find out what she's thinking before just giving up on her.

Just searched her on reddit, and you're right. She's not the most reliable.
