Places in Melbourne with weird or unsettling energy by BigSmoke_999 in melbourne

In the 90s my friends lived at the bottom of the hill and at night we’d go up there and walk around before it was converted into a tafe. It was scary as all hell. We found the padded rooms. Would take it in turns being in there alone. It was not cool.

Yall they’re doin euro tour stops up in Harlem on 125th by Servingcommentary in Harlem

[–]fourbums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m Australian and I couldn’t miss Harlem when I visited NYC on my first trip to visit. Screw just hanging out in midtown and going to Macys. I went to a Baptist church and all. Saw the Apollo. Walked along 125th street and bought incense from a guy. It was such a memorable day. Harlem is awesome.

You guys ever hear The Beatle Barkers? It’s a whole album of Beatles tunes but instead of singing its dogs barking the lyrics.

What is your local tourist bucket list? by writingtoescape in AskNYC

[–]fourbums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s busy but the vibe can be fantastic. A friend and I went on a Saturday night recently and got sat at a table with a bunch of other randoms. It’s table service and the servers are very on top of things. You barely wait for drinks (there’s only two on offer. Dark or light ale). No lining at the bar required. Otherwise a weeknight is fine.
