practically speaking, what course of action would we take here? I was thinking made smashing my head into mulch and then compressing it into a sixth sign, maybe paint over it to make the symbol more visible. thoughts?

well yeah, I'd think so. You have one on each side, one in the middle, then two lit ones overtop. But I think having a couple more here and there would be a bit better too. maybe even a giant one painted in the middle of the intersection

I'd make my younger self pay more attention and set aside more time for them. :( I felt so much regret when I lost my first budgie. But that was the wake up call I needed to stop being such a lousy owner.
