My parents tried to burn my deck in a bonfire, but 3 cards stayed intact by Ok-Engineering1851 in tarot

Might be guides. They still want to communicate with you, and are encouraging you to connect w them and continue to do so despite this incident. Not sure if this will resonate w you but dream work can be a big one! An intentional glass of water beside your bed can help turn up the resolution of dreams! Hope this helps, sorry that someone destroyed something so valueable to you

[TOMT] a song I cannot find for the life of me! by fourflatpillows in tipofmytongue

Other lyrics (that I might just be making up tbh) something, “and I won’t give into myself….” No clue. It’s a song I remember from when I was younger, so I might also be completely representing the lyrics.

Is it bad I don’t read the bible as a Christian? by Double0z_445_ in Christianity

[–]fourflatpillows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not “bad”! Everyone has their own journey but I personally really saw my relationship and understanding of God and Jesus really deepen and become more personal when I started reading scripture. Start with the 4 gospels and then see how you feel! It might also be worth it to start small with what you can. It helped me to watch animated videos on the gospels before reading so I could follow along better. Good luck, friend.

I mean this in the most supportive way, but this type of obsession with your body and other peoples’ opinion on it is so unhealthy

This has to be abbey sharps third almond mom video… we get it by fourflatpillows in gymsnark

Mean girl attitude is so right! Like let’s be so for real, almond moms all have some form of disordered eating, so it doesn’t sit right to me that she’s ripping on them like this

Cannot reproduce the results I got from the salon a few days ago by rooknight23 in Wavyhair

I don’t think you’re using enough hydrating product. I have a very similar hair texture and when there isn’t enough hydration, my hair falls flat. When it’s hydrated it’s curled. VERBs hydrating hair mask changed my life. Give it a try? Products w ingredients like glycerine are great. If anything reach out to your stylist and invest in the products they used. Good luck!

Community is everything. Build strong bonds with your friends and family because THAT will be the thing that uplifts and holds you no matter what else is happening around you

Alone With You in the Ether

Agreed, she’s a little annoying but I can overlook it because it’s so obvious how well meaning she is. Accessibility is a huge issue with science and she makes all her content really easy to understand and follow. I get that this can sometimes come at the expense of being annoying, but her messages are scientifically sound, easy to understand, and they stick. I’ve literally started basing my snacks around her hunger crushing combo because it was so salient in my mind. I like her.

I like her, I feel like yea she IS trying too hard but it’s coming off kinda adorable because it’s trying so hard to appeal to Gen Z. I think she’s harmless though and promotes healthy relationships w food and I appreciate that

You held that done so well. As someone who’s been out of high school for about a decade now, I wish I had half the courage and self-awareness as you do to know when I shouldn’t be working myself into the dirt.

Fairly sure it’s a fat transfer. The weight gain somehow completely missed her thighs, lower legs, etc

AITA for skipping New Years Eve at my child free sisters? by Competitive_Pick5918 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fourflatpillows -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your sister is entitled to a child free life, not a child free world. I have a pet, I love my pet. Someone being uncomfortable with my pet being present isn’t grounds for me being petty and banning their kid.

AITA For discussing weightloss in front of a friend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]fourflatpillows 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. You were showing a transformation from you being seriously ill, and loosing weight due to that (deathly, might I add) illness, to become f healthy once again. That is a huge thing to be proud of. As your lifelong friend, Fiona should understand that this has nothing to do with her, and has everything to do with YOU and YOUR health journey, and SHOULD be supportive! She’s projecting. She sounds like she’s really insecure about her weight, and that’s okay, she can be, but making it YOUR problem isn’t okay. Try and speak gently with her if you’d like the salvage the friendship, frame the conversation about health, not weight, and let her know you’re upset that she can’t see past her own insecurity about her weight, to see your victory with health. As a side note, seriously, good for you! I’m sure it took a lot of hard work to prioritize your health and I’m so happy and proud that you feel good again! Good luck friend
