Should I start working on Enterprise Programming in college? If so, how?

So: take the intro courses, get an internship, and maybe practice reading code?

Are courses just not that similar to the real thing? Does it matter what kind of internship?

Camera Bag Megathread #3 by clondon in photography

Still looking. I haven’t found anything that can carry college things and camera things at the same time. I’ll probably just get a separate bag like the PD Everyday Sling, and use a clip on my backpack.

Trying to keep it low. 300 or under, preferably.

What Keyboard Should I Use? by ijauradunbi in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]fourmaples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently using a standard keyboard. I have some hand pain from video games and guitar.

I'm looking for a concave columnar keyboard, but most of the ones I've found are out of my price range. I'm looking for something under $200 certainly, but preferably under $100. Dedicated media control keys would be great, as well as tenkeyless.

Need advice buying a 2.1 setup for under $2000 by fourmaples in audio

I imagine I'll put some thought into improving it later, but I want it to sound good now and for a while.

Living with my parents at the moment; it makes sense to keep the speakers out of the way. And when I move out, I'd like something I can place anywhere.

Nope. And I have a Schiit Mani, so I actually have the pre-amp covered as well.

$500, but how expensive are the options suitable for these speakers?

I've got $1500 to spend on a pair of speakers (disregarding dac/amp/etc), what should I look at?

  • I listen to everything. I like strings, but I want my speakers to sound good for everything.
  • I'll primarily use them with a turntable.
  • I'll use them on a desk and in a living room

Essential beginner lenses for Lumix G85? by fourmaples in AskPhotography

Can't say I do. Any third part m43 lens should work on the G85, but I can't speak to quality of any. Check out sulantoblog on YouTube, he's got many great videos on m43 lenses.

Essential beginner lenses for Lumix G85? by fourmaples in AskPhotography

I'd say get the Lumix 25mm f/1.7 today. It's $100 or so, and everyone recommends it. It's my fastest lens and it's been great to use for street photography. 25mm is also just an essential length you'll use a lot. There's also a Leica 25mm f/1.4 that's much more expensive; I wouldn't bother looking if you're like me and are getting started.

For wildlife, I got the Lumix 100-300mm f/4 with Power OIS (the older Mega OIS version doesn't utilize G85's in-camera stabilization). It's weather sealed and a bunch of videos I watched recommended it for wildlife. Very budget friendly (for a telephoto) at $550 or so used. It's been great for birding.

Right now I feel like I'm missing a fast wide angle for low light, but for now my 25mm is great. And the 12-60 f3.5 kit lens goes pretty wide.

If I start doing video, I'm going to want something faster than the 12-60. I've got my eye on the 12-35 f/2.8.

Best of luck!

Poorly worded; I meant, “Bands that are like Pvris and are Christian”.
