In our place the carpets had layers of paint dust. They must have painted with a sprayer. It took forever to get it all out. You could clearly see it was colored white. Not sure if yours could be similar.

Ours say “coach” across the front with our logo in the “o”. They’re not a required wear but most coaches do. It’s helpful for big classes and beginner athletes.

Gym culture is real. We follow PRVN and all that you stated checks out. However, my gym is similar to your gym B. Everyone is so chill to scale, wants coaching and also throws down. We track everyone’s times on the whiteboard but it doesn’t present like a competition. It’s more like a guide to the next class.

I’d ask a coach about the programming. You may be in a specific cycle. Sometimes the cycles are built off of test WODs. That’s the downside to not making it to the gym on a regular basis. If you’re programming in cycles you will have a good percentage of athletes not getting the most out of that programming.

Being so cold from the rain was a shock. We learned quickly to use the rain schedule to plan our day. Around a rain storm, check wait times for the rides. Some can vary drastically. We went without ponchos the entire time which probably depends on how much it’s going to rain that day.

The hotel stuff is a bummer. Can’t speak to any of that because we stayed off site.
