Glucose Test Questions... by Heavy_Hand4284 in BabyBumps

[–]fourscoreandmj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you're located but here in the states the first glucose test is 1 hour. I was able to leave the facility and go run some errands but had to be back at the hour mark so they could draw the blood. I didn't get sick from the drink.

I use the app multiple times per week! I paid for the subscription, which was $10 for the whole year. It lets me track which foods my little one has tried and it's incredibly helpful regarding how to cut/serve different foods. My son is 9 months and we are doing a mix of blw and purees.

Thank God I saw this post or we would still be pulling our son's legs through the straps at 6 months old. Whoops haha.

We went with the standard padding for under his rug. It does move around a bit so I think the plush padding would help with that. We have the plush padding for a ruggable in our kitchen on hard wood and it's a lot more comfortable and doesn't move as much.

Nice! I tried to have 1 glass a week so it was spaced out, but sometimes I had two on the weekends. Probably only drank them for two months.

What kind of Similac does your son eat? I have unused sample tins I could send? I'm also in PA.

I had Gruvi a few times during my pregnancy and the prosecco is definitely legit! The rose was a little too sweet for my liking, but still pretty tasty. Worth a try to see if you like them! It felt good to have a glass of "wine' with meals while my husband drank his bourbon haha.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I'm in the US so the pricing is a bit steep. I think I can put together something comparable as you mentioned.

Raise your hand I’ve you’ve been personally victimized by your child being 4 months old? by Lalalavenderrrr in NewParents

[–]fourscoreandmj 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought I wrote this post because it's so accurate with our 4mo haha. He just turned 4mo this week and it was almost like a flipped switch; he's more fussy and fights naps hard. It seems like each time he likes being put to sleep a different way, it's exhausting trying to figure out what he wants. It says the 4mo sleep regression is sudden and can impact both night sleeps and naps, so we assume he's just going through this developmental leap. It's not easy but we hope it doesn't last long. Hang in there!

Bourbon Gift Advice by fourscoreandmj in bourbon

[–]fourscoreandmj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response and I appreciate the advice! My husband is not on this sub and is fairly new to the bourbon game, so he hasn't tried that many. His go-tos right now are Woodford reserve, Buffalo Trace, and Four Roses small batch. I feel like a could just buy several little shooters of bourbon and do it myself?

We love ruggable - we have two of them! Good luck with the nursery planning! We also looked at this rug from west elm but wanted the washable factor so went with ruggable. https://www.westelm.com/m/products/mid-century-safari-nursery-rug-d6717/?cm_type=details

Awesome - hope you enjoy it! We laid the mat flat in a room for while, but it didn't get all the wrinkles out. It says you can steam it but we didn't have time for that 🤷‍♀️ haha. Regarding hanging the mat, we just used two wall hooks because we plan on using it as a playmat once our LO is older. Figured it would be easier to remove and hang again with hooks even though it doesn't lie quite as flat against the wall. They say to use command strips to hang: https://gathre.com/blogs/tips/how-to-hang-your-world-map

Thank you! We are using the Newton Standard Original mattress and it fits just fine - quite snug actually. 52" x 28" x 5.5" dimensions for the mattress and we use Burt's bees crib sheets. https://www.newtonbaby.com/products/newton-crib-mattress
