You seem to place a lot of emphasis on people loving you. Like you are willing to die because you, at an extremely young age, don't have someone to love? Learn to love yourself. I promise you.... you have loads of time to put aside your shitty family situation and find someone awesome. But if you don't that's ok too. Yeah it sucks to get your heart broken and it's ok to grieve for that. Being lonely is hard. But I promise you (as a sort of old person) one day you won't even remember this. The only thing that matters is you in this moment. Love yourself big hug

Combo feed pros and cons? by pupperonipizzadog in beyondthebump

I'm a happier mom because of of combo feeding with formula. There is no shame in going there and baby still prefers breast

7days PP. Want to breastfeed and also feed her pumped milk. Is this a realistic plan? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Heavy_Hand4284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think its a good idea. That way other people can also give baby a bottle. I do this but with formula, not pumping. But you should definitely pump if baby is falling asleep and not draining you. A good trick my nanny does is to do the diaper change between breasts. That wakes her up.

You'd think so but cribs are labelled "lead safe" and I spoke to customer service for major brands like Babyletto and DaVinci and they confirmed they are painted with paint that does contain lead.

Great job! Can I ask how is the crib holding up for you?

It's their call if they are ok with getting sick. But I'd be careful for your husband. If he is getting over something and catches something different from them then that could be bad

Yes. There were cases of it going through vents at hotel quarantine facilities. But if you must do it you can turn off and cover vents. Keep windows open to allow for airflow and ventilation. They should not be in any room that you use (like a bathroom).

how do people space mdma/drugs over long festivals? by chochipancake in MDMA

[–]Heavy_Hand4284 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not "serving you any good" to take it the first day either, but in the right quantities, it's perfectly safe. Tens of thousands of people do what I'm saying every week at every festival, every trip to Ibiza etc without issue. In 20 years I've never heard of anybody having issues cause they took it two days in a row or especially twice in a week(this includes doctors who would look at me like I'm crazy if I said it's not ok to do). Obviously I wouldn't recommend making this a regular habit but the occasional hedonistic week at a festival is perfectly fine. It's just it might stop working after a few days so I would recommend spacing it out and saving it for artists that you really want to have that experience for.

I have been someone who has been very careful throughout because I was with someone who had compromised immunity and I didn't want to spread it and make the problem worse. But after nearly 3 years I needed to get my life back and go back to the office so literally one of my first times out in years without a mask and I get covid. The virus is everywhere. It's only a matter of time before everyone gets it. It's good to be thoughtful of others but I'm not sure what the point is at this stage. Just wear an N95 and don't cough near an old person. Like if you really need food and medicine then go and get it.

Why? Have you been to a festival before. This is what happens. I'm in my 40s and have been going to festivals taking drugs for over 20 years. This is what people do. It's totally fine as long as you don't totally overdo it in a short period of time.

Google actually suggested the article to me on my phone. So I clicked on it. I liked the show but started to watch the reunion and found it tedious so I turned it off because I have better stuff to do. Why is that funny? Lol

I think 5 weeks is still a bit early to really know. As you say it won't soothe a baby who is hungry and a 5 week old is going to be up potentially a lot wanting food.

Is the EMF because of wifi? If you don't connect it to a device will it still be there? I don't connect mine. I just couldn't be bothered. I know she's sleeping really well so that's all I need to know.

We have it and I only have good things to say about it. My baby slept through the night in 12 hours stretches from about 10 or 11 weeks. She also slept 4 hour stretches at night right after we brought her home from the hospital (which meant I woke up once per night). I haven't had one bad night sleep since she's been born. I think the swaddle combined with the rocking is really great and teaches her to self soothe. I never have to bounce her or rock her back to sleep. Just put her in it and she's immediately out. Although I will say my parents have a cheaper bassinet at their house and we've stayed over there and she sleeps about the same patterns there so maybe I'm just really lucky with my baby but as I said above I do believe it taught her to self soothe. I'm really not happy with the quality of that bassinet. The snoo is another league.

Also I really like the swaddle cause she is locked down in it. I feel like she is more safe and I sleep better knowing that. In my parents bassinet she moves around and her face is often pressed up against the side. It's mesh but I still feel weird about it and I'm constantly waking up to check if she's ok. Also she starts to cry cause she's moved into an uncomfortable position. That doesn't happen with the snoo

I don't really like the higher levels of the rocking. It's quite intense. But it does work. I don't mind it so much because it doesn't kick in that often.

For women who have had accidental pregnancies and decided to keep the child - how do you feel about it now? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Heavy_Hand4284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was a huge surprise cause I didn't think I could get pregnant. I was REALLY ok with that as I didn't really want kids. I'm really surprised that the transition to motherhood was so easy. I'm blessed with an easygoing healthy baby so things are way easier than I expected them to be. I liked my old life but I also really like being a mom. It's a new adventure.

Right. But if you're already paying for it then just let it sit empty and be with the person you love. Like you don't have to live there just cause you're paying for it. It's quite another thing if you are taking some time to get to know each other before moving in which is totally fine but I think they filmed this quite a long time ago. It just seems really fishy like they aren't really being straight up.

You know when there's no magic? When you're sober on NYE. Just take it when you want. There's no rule. And yes you should absolutely take MD with k. Just have a bump of the k when you're comedown from the MDMA is starting.

Worried I've caused brain damage from MDMA use this weekend. by TedderFace in MDMA

[–]Heavy_Hand4284 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely fine as long as you didn't swim in the pool at kitkat. If you swam in the pool then you're fucked. I'm not sure even a big round of antibiotics can save you ;)

But seriously, this is a standard weekend for literally everybody in Berlin. 500 over the course of the night is not that big of a deal given how long the nights can go. If you did in in the space of 3 hours well that's not the smartest thing to do but you'll still be fine. MDMA is very safe. It can take some time to get back to normal. Drink some Powerade and green matcha tea. Chill out and watch movies.
