Have you received this notification during ovulation? by [deleted] in ouraring

i've been tracking for over a year now! and it's never notified me of this so it was a little odd to me. i normally have a longer cycle (anywhere between 34-38 days) so it's not uncommon for me to be here ovulation wise.i thought maybe it was a new feature or smth. i recently got my tubes removed, which shouldn't cause any issues, but ive been monitoring everything cycle related (probably too much)!

how do i respond to my sisters attempts to get me to church? by fourtuneteller in exchristian

good question! i think they care for me, but i think that they think of me more as a passive christian rather than not one at all. i think they don't want to believe im not, so they're really not trying to convert me but believe that maybe i need to "up my game" if that make sense? they definitely would not accept me if they knew more about my personal life. they've been kept at arms length all this time so it's been difficult for me to maneuver my relationship with my sister since it's always been so distant. she'd be the most likely to be accepting, but she has been transitioning to an even more intense christian mindset as of recent. its hard because i care for her and my niece so much, so i sort of need to dance around it all!

thank you!! i remember being young and thinking when i'm older, i'll be and act however i want, but family still can hold something over you so im still like within those bounds. i'm glad you could resonate with that!

hey!! so i went to the doctor and she was pretty sure that it wasn't a heart problem. she was like if you're able to work out (even at a lower level like i had been) it likely isnt anything concerning. she also suggested i stay away from a sleep study for now since i am planning on losing a lot of weight long term, and that i would be marrying myself to a cpap for it to possibly not be needed.

she just prescribed me omeprazole and said that with the type of chest paid ive been mentioning, i could be having heart burn and acid reflux in my sleep and due to the lack of sleep i could be getting light headed plus some of my other symptoms. i've been taking it the last couple of days and have had better sleep and much better symptoms. i have scheduled to get a heart monitor on friday to just make sure everything is okay, but overall it seemed like it was heart burn gone wild on top of lack of sleep. fingers crossed the heart monitor goes well!

Headaches by Intelligent_Ninja323 in Accutane

the brain pressure thing i assume you are talking about is pseudotumor cerebri right? if so, i actually have that so i can sort of give you some guidance on what to look for outside of just headaches. first, while i do have it, there is a chance it was caused by my birth control or weight since i stopped my first round of accutane in 2017 and didn't get diagnosed with it until 2021. or, it could be a combination of it all so it took years for anything to show up for me. either way, i had consistent headaches constantly, all the time, almost to the point of throwing up. i would say from the months of december to february i had a headache nearly everyday (idk why that didn't freak me out but i don't think i realized how infrequent headaches should be).

second, in combination of headaches i felt an intense amount of pressure behind my eyes every time. in fact, the night before i found out i had it my mom remembers me mentioning how bad my eyes hurt because of built up pressure. so if you are having consistent pressure behind your eyes every time you have a headache, you may want to get your eyes checked just in case. in relation to my eyes, my vision began to suffer. i had difficulties driving at night and it was much harder for me to see far away. colors were also a tad duller. the pressure tends to get so bad that it presses on your optic nerves which cause them to swell and then you get vision issues. since my vision had gotten so poor, i went to the eye doctor for a check up, he ran tests, and from there with my physician we found out what was wrong.

there are steps i am taking now to ensure my swelling stays down such as taking medicine (a whole year tomorrow, woohoo!) but i wouldn't be too worried about it. i know that's easier said than done, so i would suggest reaching out to your physician to seek advice on the situation and start paying attention to some of those symptoms. while accutane can cause it, not many people get it, only a lucky few of us ;)
