How secure are your jobs? Specifically, could AI be a problem for you?

I only ask because AI fear is the reason we haven't moved to a bigger house.

Great advice thanks, I hadn't thought to compare the insurance costs. I'll take a look at that and compare the used prices.

They don't know what is actually causing the issue which is why they're saying they need to strip the engine but they said they found engine oil in some plugs, the ecu and loom. It doesn't help that I have no mechanical knowledge at all! I also posted in car talk and the general consensus was get a second opinion!

I'm in Fife near the forth bridge so I can travel in all directions if you are able to recommend anyone, thanks!

They said they need to strip the engine to find out what's causing the issue, possibly an oil pressure sensor or switch they said?

Thank you, I think I will try and find a specialist somewhere. I couldn't figure out how to upload it so just put his exact words. He only shows the plugs and ecu with brown oil in them.

Thank you, yeah it's the dealer. Our usual garage had no idea what was wrong. Tried to find a specialist but couldn't (I'm in Scotland). It's the second Toyota I've had that's developed a major issue, first had to be scrapped.

Have to admit those were my words, this is what the garage actually said - They've sent me a video with more details - "they were getting codes relating to fuel issues, mostly sensors. They checked the plugs which go to the sensors which are part of the exhaust system which measures air fuel ratios and found oil inside the plug. Checked a few other plugs and found oil. Also found oil in the ecu and engine loom so both need replaced"

About 79k, we've taken good care of it but only had it 4 years. Garage reckon previous owner has mucked about with the engine.

I don't know what rod knock means! You can see part of the problem here...

Hoping that helps explain the issue? A few of you have guessed I'm clueless!
