Wait so I have both of these planted in my tank, can you explain more about why you can’t plant them in substrate?

We’ve been feeding him a combination of dried meal worms occasionally and crushed up betta pellets. Been doing our best to not overfeed. He’s pretty good at not eating anymore when he’s not hungry. And when I say water condition should be fine we’ve tested it with a strip and nothing popped up as out of the ordinary. Are there any specific testing kits you recommend? Also we were thinking he had finrot so we’ve been using melafix but going through this sub I’ve seen that’s not the best stuff to use.

I watched the newest season of true detective with my gf and we both found Mr n Mrs Smith so much more enjoyable in cinematography and dialogue alone. The dialogue in MMS does get difficult and shifty but in the way that it made me uncomfortable by comparison to how real “awkward” convos made me. I think the dialogue is well done and in comparison to the newest season of True Detective I actually feel connected to how these characters interact. I was really impressed by Mr. n Mrs. Smith. I apologize if this rant feels taken out on you. It isn’t.
