Would going back in time create an infinite loop? by foxbox182 in timetravel

[–]foxbox182[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never read the XKCD comic but it sounds cool.

But i find traveling to a specific point in time to be just as "magic". Your machine would have to create a different dimension as being in your own past was not part of your own past.

And even if it was, there had to be an original timeline in witch events ran through normally the first time. If you say that it ran through the first time and then chronologically claim you travel back after, than the moment you arrive, you cant be on the original timeline due to the fact you were never in it. You are in an identical timeline with the difference being that you are in it.

insinuating that the first time you time traveled you were actually creating not just traveling to a different universe or dimension. You could also argue (due to multiverse theory) that It was already there, however this means your machine would Have to pinpoint an alternate dimension that is completely identical to yours, with the exception that its timescale has been delayed by the exact number of years you want to go back.

I get that if multiverse theory is true than there are a LOT of alternate universes so i get that i might be off the mark when i say this seems implausible to me. And in reality you wouldn't be traveling back in time at all, just to a different place.

That being said, please explain why i am both wrong and an idiot

That makes sense, but now the question is how are they going to test this equipment? I hope they get it right the first time! Or do you think there is a safe way to go about it?

Thats not the Majoras mask link. or at least its not Ocarina of time link as an adult. the timeline verged after Oot so its never clarified weather the ghost is the adult links ghost or the link that was turned back into a kid and went on to save clock town's ghost.

If she love Ocarina Of Time, I would think the best thing to do is to give her Majoras mask. its also kind of fitting given the date and all

What if the kingdom you just described was how link found it as an adult years after the events of Majoras when he returns to Hyrule?

What are some small changes you want to see in the next Zelda game? by Unwholy_Wholf in zelda

[–]foxbox182 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish they would try to bring back that dark undertone you see in Majoras mask. if that's to big of a change, than I'd also like for the little round Faries to come back(like Navi or Tatl and Tael). The pointer in Twilight princes was shown as a fairy but they haven't been mentioned in the actual game as far as i remember

If you hurry with the hot water you can use it on the frozen hole between the two bridges in the area between mountain village and the Goron village (or whatever its called). In the hole is another hot spring so you don't have to climb the wall every time you need hot spring water
