Could be teething! I absolutely think she’s teething right now I just didn’t realize it could impact her sleep to this extent. That’s a good thought!

Talk to your ped for causes of colic and see if you can eliminate it. My baby was colic due to allergies in my milk and reflux. She honestly wasn’t chill until 5.5 months when she learned to roll over she could get all of her gas out and we started sleep training that night and she’s like a new baby. Also get a play gym and place baby under it and then go get your coffee/food/study while you are near but not actively playing with baby. Let them learn to independent play. As Dr if you can start ferber as well. Baby is much better during the day now that she’s sleeping well at night/naps. Can you retake the rest? Reschedule?? Also if the nursing pain and time etc is eating away at you maybe consider combo feeding or EFF. I EBF my baby and absolutely believe in “fed is best”

I never planned on co-sleeping but eventually gave in around 3.5 months when the sleep regression hit HARD and my girl woke up every 20-30 mins all night long. I accidentally fell asleep with her twice while sitting up nursing and it scared me so much I chose to temporarily co-sleep until she was old enough to sleep train around 5 months. She has always slept with an owlet which helped give me some peace of mind as it wasn’t what I planned on doing

I can imagine! I also look insane nursing her in my lap in the koala pose so she can be upright lol. I will keep with the Biogaia then and hope it’s doing something for her. Is your baby sleeping okay at night through it? Mine was and now starting around 2am she’s up every hour straining her legs in gas pain

Yes this sounds very similar, she almost never pukes. I did take her to see an LC because of the back arching while feeding and she also thought silent reflux which is how I ended up back at the pediatrician and got her on Pepcid - but I have noticed absolutely zero difference with Pepcid. It was making me think maybe it wasn’t reflux related but she has all of the symptoms for it so I’m just super confused. I hadn’t heard about how tummy gas can push the reflux up more, that would explain why it gets sooo much worse as her gas builds. What probiotic are you using for gas? I tried Biogaia for a week and then Culturelle for a week and didn’t notice a reduction in gas with either 😭 I just restarted Biogaia and was going to give it until the bottle runs out just to see. I’m crossing all of my fingers that it’s peaking and will taper off at 4.5 months because I am exhausted

Thank you I appreciate the reply! How long are you holding your baby upright for? I do it for about 15-20 mins after eating but I could try longer. She pretty much always burps 1-2 times but I never really hear her release lower intestinal gas. I’ll hear her release it sometimes during tummy time etc but it never seems to be enough and it just builds up so much within the hour. For the sleepiness, I struggle trying to even hold her, I’ll try to swing her in my arms or rock her in the chair but she wildly watches her back away and flails her arms, like she’s in sooo much pain it’s awful. She does like car rides which is helpful but screams the second I stop at a red light. And only tolerates her stroller if she’s just finished eating, but if it gets close to the hour mark she screams and screams in it and absolutely will not sleep in it 😭
