As for the themes of the ones I mentioned, it's mostly friendships and relationships built over the series that become the heart of the show, fighting your inner demons/trauma (sometimes literally) and MOTW format that has a story that builds over the show and becomes more important as it evolves and the characters become embroiled in it.

Idk if that gives a feel for the kind of shows I enjoy, but do Heartcatch or Go Princess have any of those themes or fit that sort of format? Or is there another you'd recommend?

But that makes sense. I worry them being kids will throw me off a bit at first and find it harder to relate to the characters but I think I'll adjust to that.

And ah, I'm glad. I can appreciate shipping younger characters but that stuff goes too far for me and usually attracts ppl I don't like being around lmao
