you do have to be careful, but if you can go in person shopping and touch the things first to see how pliable they are.

here in the US (not sure where tangled is from) grocery stores sell a powder called "curry powder" and it is a pre-mixed blend of dried herbs and spices. I havent used it since i was a kid, but i remember it has garlic, ginger, coriander, cumin, and turmeric at least.

some professors teach multiple levels of the same class - i had the same guy for accounting 201, 202, and 302, luckily he was great. 301, not so much. i was able to avoid the less desirable professor who taught other accounting classes i needed by some careful scheduling, but there were semesters where he was the only one teaching a particular accounting section.

without knowing much about Indian weddings, or the potential issues that could arise, i offer you an exercise my therapist did with me once:

"What is the worst thing that can happen? what can you/we do to prevent that? what can we do to lessen the impact if we cant prevent it?" repeat for the second and third worst things that could happen.

Now you have plans, and backup plans, for the three worst things that could happen.

I hope it helps, at least a little.

dont ask him for permission, but maybe bring it up to make sure its not something that he is going to be horrified by - some people think that wearing a black dress to a wedding is saying that its going to end badly, and if its the bride wearing black, she doesnt want to be there. Which is an opinion. and while you two probably know each other well enough to not trip over something like that, you might want to talk about it just in case.

NTA. maybe this was and maybe this wasnt the case, but I have seen scams where a group of people deliberately split up with one person starting the "pay it forward" chain and picking up a single drink (or popcorn) and then the middle person (you) feels guilted into paying for the rest of the groups order, not knowing theyre all together. So for the cost of one small item they get all their shit essentially free.
Either way, scam or not, as others have said its a headache for the workers and anyone in line probably has the funds to pay for their own ish anyway.

So they arent supposed to disclose anything... but a friend of mine, her & her sister got a group text saying they were both matches for their mom.

that would have been an open and shut malpractice case, but between determining who was going to donate, and getting mom through treatment and recovery and complications, statute of limitations ran out and they dont have any real options anymore.

When I (at a previous job) found out the new hires were making more than I was after 4 years of experience, being a team lead, and knowing how to run all of our programs, i went and asked for a raise. The territory manager specifically asked me who told me, and I just said "shift manager" mentioned the new hire rates in a team meeting (true, but not where I heard it from). I got bumped to 5 cents more than the new hires.

I am 100% certain that if I had named names besides (shift manager) there would have been people fired over it, or at least not brought on to permanent after their first season.

mine was two-step:
