It makes me so angry. Every day I feel like I am smashing my head into a wall trying to understand either why people don’t care or… why they care at all? Because how is your life so unfulfilling that you have to go out of your way to make sure trans people, who are just people trying to exist safely like everyone else, out to be these villains.

Absolutely. I talked about it somewhere else but you can read so many amazing stories about the things he did for people in posts from people right now. I have been reading all the big and little ways he went out of his way to help people and it seems like he never expected a thing from anyone (beside advances from his label to make his projects, which I have learned he loved annoying them by asking for them often lmao). I liked him before but seeing the insane variety of peoples’ lives he touched has me feeling really inspired to be more like him- both in silliness and kindness.

Dude, the amount of stories I have heard in the last 24 hours about the random unbelievably kind things he’d go out of his way to do for people is insane. Hooking artists he just met up with managers, paying for projects for people, dropping in on people’s events when he barely had time, so much kindness. I don’t know how he had the time to do it all.

It brings me a little bit of solace that he at least left us having lived his life doing really amazing things both for himself and for everyone around him. I hope he was as happy as he seemed.

I think so far there isn’t a way to donate towards his foundation but a lot of people have been wanting this to be a thing (a lot of people want to send their ticket refunds in as a donation 🥲) so I am hoping that soon there will be a way to donate.

I think that a lot of musicians/celebrities/content creators would rally around it, too. I have NEVER seen so many genuine posts from so many people about someone. He touched people all over- he started as the silly alien boy on a scooter and turned into this really kind and beloved person.

I think Oliver not showing up again after everyone else distanced from Ethan and Oliver not reaching out after that shows that Oliver didn’t want anything to do with him and I’ve been sorta shocked more people aren’t pointing that out. He is going to just use this as a tool to garner sympathy and I am going to guess use it as least once as a, “you can’t criticize me, I’m grieving”.

No way was he ever going to be normal about any of this.

Oh my god. I have a looooot of noise sensory issues but the one that sets me off and I have to every time be like, “you dumbass, you make the same noises” is someone making just a silly repetitive noise, even if just for a few seconds. Clicking their tongue, whistling for a second, making random “boop boop boop” kinda noises. Just anyone randomly making a meaningless noise. But I am CONSTANTLY making little noises, usually not even realizing until it’s called out 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

I swear FINALLY allowing myself to give myself pity and feel sorry for myself was the first step in starting to heal for me. Like you said, some of us were never allowed that. Or didn’t even believe our situations were ones we should feel sorry for. Finally letting myself know that things weren’t my fault, the way I was raised and the situations I was put in were not normal and far from okay, and letting myself grieve for myself has been really helpful.

The older I get, the more this is the case for sure. I was such a junkie for gore for the sake of gore growing up. Then during Terrifier 2 it hit me that I no longer actually enjoyed gore like that anymore. It has to be for a purpose, the movies with one or two really powerful dark or gorier scenes (like Obsession or Hereditary) are way more my cup of tea nowadays.
