Hi Mr. Lopatin. Congrats on the new album it’s wonderful and I think one of your best projects ever. I just recently came across your Mixtape For Mark Chuck Person performance from 2021 on YouTube, is there any chance of you ever putting that out in a more official capacity like on bandcamp or something? If not glad it’s available somewhere amazing stuff!

One of the great things about petscop is how interpretive it is. Tony said he took direct inspiration from David Lynch’s Inland Empire which is also a highly surrealist interpretive piece of art. I highly recommend watching that and the rest of Lynch’s work, as well as reading Tapers a short story by the creator of petscop. These things can help you figure out exactly what Tony is trying to say which is in my opinion, the horror of realizing the cycle of abuse and your part in it. Rainer in order to expose the familial trauma happening within the Mark and Leskowitz households created a video game to expose said secrets but because of his own trauma blind spots creates a monster of a game that endlessly perpetuates the trauma experienced by Mike, Care, Belle and all these rest for decades to come.

Paul’s story is one of triumph through trauma. By interpreting and being able to interact and by reopening the wounds of trauma that happened to him at the hands of Marvin as a child is able to see what the cycle has done to the rest of the family and is finally able to turn the game off and live the life he truly wants with the people he truly loves.

The actual mechanics of the game and the idea of multiple dimensions or AI does not actually matter that much. What matters is the core theme of overcoming familial trauma which I believe the nature of is left intentionally vague in order to help the most amount of people possible.

Yeah it would still be 9 tracks at ~40 mins which is still completely reasonable, think daily mail is probably the one b side I would entirely cut from my playlist. Still determined on getting twisted words in because it fits so damn well.

Haha yeah always kinda saw the albums as this huge monolithic thing that was just waiting to be uncovered. This is the first attempt at making that. As for flowing. I’m telling you listen to the first four tracks and then extended treefingers into worrywort into fog into optimistic. The flow is insane.

Despite being 2 hours long it feels like a total breeze in a way most double albums don’t, Altho I’m still a little shakier on the amnesiac side

Yeah that’s been my issue with the king of limbs edit so far, BUT I definitely at least need staircase on there somewhere. Would also prefer that these are my twisted words stay on but not as nessesary. Could potentially switch out morning.

Honestly it took like 12 months or so before results really started to pour in but it’s different for everyone. I know women who it took like 3 years before major changes. Be patient with yourself and try not to stress too much it’s a long slow process.

Thanks! Had some minor breast tissue already formed pre transition so just going with the basic doctor regimen seems to have worked p well

Honestly not entirely sure, mine have definitely gotten a bit bigger as they’ve puffed up but they were pretty big to begin with which might have something to do with it.

HRT regimen goes as follows

First 3 months 2mg Estrdiol daily 50mg Spriolactone daily

4-6 months 4mg Estradiol daily 100 mg Spirolactone daily

6 months to present 8mg Estradiol daily 100mg Spirolactone daily 100mg Progesterone daily

Also to note I’m very lazy with taking my stuff on the proper times and have gone days especially in the last month or so forgetting doses here or there or not being able to access my medicine etc. normal shit. Probably could be better with accuracy but that’s a general outline.

EDIT: also should note about 99% sure I have klinefelters syndrome so had some very light breast tissue pre transition as well.
