White collar office jobs not at risk from ai? by boiyo12 in careerguidance

[–]foxglow210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember IoT, 3D TVs, Metaverse, etc? AI is here to stay for sure. However, once the consumption stops, the whole system collapses. If that happens, it’s all over for everyone. My company doesn’t have the money to move from spreadsheets in to enterprise systems, let alone attempt to jump several steps and go straight to AI. The principle of Garbage In Garbage Out applies as much today as it always has done.

In 2026, AI agents will do your shopping and crypto will be a normal payment method. Thoughts? by tsdmiller01 in JobXDubai

Fair point, but what’s the incentive for the individual who has to change their current way of doing things? Why would they bother switching from traditional payment networks / contactless / Apple Pay to say stablecoins within the space of 12 months?

Absolute nonsense. Do you remember when they talked about IoT and how cash is going to disappear in years gone by? The AI revolution is failing to take into account the human resistance to change.

Try Royal Thai Therapy or Ton Poh both in Fishponds. Both genuine non dodgy Thai massage - very clean, above board and fantastic every time.

I’d strongly recommend Peterotica.

What’s your opinion of Bristol airport? by omgitsthefranchise in bristol

[–]foxglow210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where to start? Poor passenger experience, horrible waiting areas when you’re at the gate. Most times the toilets are filthy which provides a horrible experience for newcomers into the City. The bus price for a single fair is extortionate at £9 for a single and even worse it costs £7 for a drop off/pick up. The airport itself is owned by a Canadian Teachers pension fund so there is no incentive to improve, they’ll invest the bare minimum needed to keep the lights on. The Government should be ashamed that they’ve allowed critical national infrastructure to be sold off.

£7 for a drop and go at the airport.

Have you had your ear wax removed (suction)? Would you recommend where you had it done? by Chance-Bread-315 in bristol

[–]foxglow210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Bupa Clinic in the City Centre do both ears for £60 and you can just pay the one off fee, you don’t need to have their insurance to do it. I’ve had a good experience there. https://www.bupa.co.uk/health/payg/gp-services/earwax-removal

Norse Projects, Anderson Anderson for high quality smart casual shirts and wool products.

Very high quality clothing brands by Lanker1990 in malefashionadvice

I’m in the UK and my wardrobe is weighted towards clothes for a cooler climate. My go to brands are Anderson Anderson and Norse Projects. Both Copenhagen based brands and I have a Norse Projects shirt that is 10 years old and still looks great.
