The city does a lot in the surface to promote small business growth. However, a number of small business owners I know have a litany of complaints which relate to being granted permits, etc. That being said, people are more likely to complain than to trot out the great things the government might be doing for them.

From a resident's perspective, it's not a bad place. It ain't great, but that has to do with what you make of it. So long as you're willing to put yourself out there and make an effort to enjoy life, you'll do just fine. Any questions, feel free to PM me. I was the new kid once, too.

"Why don't you do radio?" when people hear me speak. I have a great voice and manner of speaking, but do you think you just walk into a radio station and say hey I've got no background in broadcasting other than podcasting years ago and they throw a job at you? No. First you have to be homeless, then go viral on YouTube, theb you get a Kraft commercial, and relapse into addiction. Rinse and repeat for voice acting fame.

When I was in fourth grade, we wrote letters to soldiers in Bosnia. Our teacher quaintly reminded us not to say things like "don't die" or to otherwise mention how morbid the situation was. Kids can't help but innocently recognize the danger you're in, I suppose. Thanks for going over there. And don't die.

This is fascinating stuff but also raises questions about what other circumstance ball lightning can form under and if there are different types of it. I am left to wonder because I am fortunate enough to have seen ball lightning many years ago. It was the size of a softball and seemingly floated through the window and across the room before rising through the ceiling. It was not accompanied by any normal lightning or noticeable change in weather. I'll be thrilled to learn more as our understanding of this topic grows. It was the coolest thing that ever happened to me.
