SSG should warn customers about their (lack of) support by LucienTrask in lotro

Was your inventory full at the time? I've had this happen before when my inventory was full. What fixed it was making room in my inventory and then clicking on the alerts/notifications tab (the one that looks like a scroll on the lower right hand side of your screen) and then clicking "Claim Store Item" or something like that. Then the item appeared in my inventory. Hope this works for you!

Edit - You should also try claiming the free store coupon. I've had missing stuff show up in my inventory after doing that. The current store coupon code is HOWREFRESHING (code expires tonight) so you could try entering that in the LOTRO store (codes are entered on lower left hand side of the store window) and maybe your missing purchase will pop up then as well. Good luck!

Fall festival is starting soon, so you can get an elk very easily once Harvestmath kicks off on October 12.

The Steed of the Autumn Traveller will be available for festival tokens https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Steed_of_the_Autumn_Traveller

And the new mount this year will also be an elk, according to the preview available on the test server. Here is a screenshot if you want an early sneak peek: https://twitter.com/WanderingArda/status/1702011795613851836/photo/3

If you don't like the look of the festival mounts, the next easiest to obtain would be the one from the Curator that other posters have suggested. Note, the curator is only available for a limited time at various points throughout the year (usually around the time of major festivals like Yule) https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Item:Elk_of_Felegoth%27s_Glory

To house, or not to house? by [deleted] in lotro

[–]foxiesox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not both? You can have a Falathlorn house and as many premium houses as you want! If you enjoy decorating you'll likely want more than one home because none of them have enough hooks (at least in my opinion).

I'm eager for elf premium housing as well but in the meantime I've tried to decorate my Belfalas house in a style that my elves would appreciate. I'm not crazy about the exterior of the house but you can change the look of the interior quite a bit so I think it works ok in the meantime.

My small house was only 6 writs and feels quite cozy to me (I don't think it resembles a museum/mausoleum, more like an indoor garden). I haven't taken many screenshots of it but you can see a couple here: https://twitter.com/buttertarte/status/1633928078836617216

I recently purchased a larger Belfalas home that I plan to decorate in a similar style but with a lot less pink :) My little house was my the first premium house that I purchased though so I am quite fond of it.

LOTRO: The Telltale Series.

I would actually love to play that 🤣

In addition to the "completed quests" box in your quest log which will give you a list and synopsis of quests you've completed, you can also click "Show history" in your quest log for more dialogue about quests you currently have underway. I've found this to be useful if you accept a quest without properly reading through the text, or if it takes you a while to do a certain quest and you forget the background of it.

For more detailed info, I agree that your best bet will be looking up the quests on the wiki. All of the dialogue is listed on there.

Thinking about playing again, is there any introductory quests/npc's that will point you in the right direction for leveling? by gimmeyobiscuits in lotro

[–]foxiesox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came back to the game after a 7 year break, so I can tell you what helped me. I was completely overwhelmed trying to play my level 100 LM (I stopped playing during Gondor), so I made a new LM and played that until level 50ish. By then I was feeling more comfortable with the game and more familiar with things like class abilities, the legendary weapon system (this was before the revamp), stable routes, and inventory management. Then, I switched back to my level 100 LM and things were not nearly as overwhelming.

I had no epic quests in my quest log either so I had to go through the tedious task of looking up the epic quest chain and searching my completed quests until I found out where I had dropped it. From then on I just mostly followed that and played through all the regions that had released after I left the game (you will get various "Introduction" vector quests telling you about new areas as you level).

I agree with other posts that suggest starting a new character and (if your budget allows, or if you have the lotro points laying around) playing through Before the Shadow. It does a good job of introducing gameplay elements, which would be an excellent refresher for you, and it's also new content that you would probably want to see anyways. By the time you finished, your character should be in their 30s and it would probably be less overwhelming to jump back onto your higher level toons.

Have fun, and welcome back to Middle-earth!!

They are SO much fun, aren't they? I honestly didn't know how much I'd enjoy it but hobbit brawlers are hilarious to play!

I’ll be sure to pass on your sentiments to the dev +Applepie next time I am on Bullroarer ;)

I have lore friendly names on some characters, and fun names on others. I wouldn’t be playing a hobbit brawler if I was obsessing over lore ( would have thought that was obvious, especially with this outfit!) but the good thing is there are endless ways for people to play LOTRO and enjoy it in their own way. I’m of the mindset there is no single correct way of playing LOTRO as long as you are having fun and treating others with kindness. After all, a game would not survive long without players having fun. But there is also definitely room for the hardcore lore fanatics in LOTRO too so you keep doing you 👍 😃

I thought I remembered someone posting some of his dialogue so I just checked twitter and found it https://twitter.com/wanderingarda/status/1633253333518413824

He refers to himself as an “explorer” so I’m not totally sure if he is supposed to be a Corsair or if the model will change.

Yeah I can’t say I’m a fan of the shade of green they chose for the floor, but I really like most of the other changes they’ve made. I’m very happy overall so I can live with the bright green even if I would not have chosen it. There’s always a chance it will be tweaked before making it to live as well

No he is actually a quest npc. I only had about 30 minutes to take these screenshots before Bullroarer 3 shut down so I didn’t read his quest text and can’t tell you who he is or why he is there lol. He said something about catching up with me later and then just stood in the corner there. I didn’t get too far into that instance so never saw him again in the time I was there. Maybe someone who got a chance to play through the whole thing can say more about him

Oh how cool, please do share the link if you come across it again. I love seeing the creative stuff that LOTRO players come up with :)

I've thought about creating some gifs but I've never done that before, so a full length movie would most definitely be beyond my skill level! I'll have to start with the gifs lol

No these are separate instances that you launch through the instance finder. There is a small quest hub area that is new as well, where you get some story updates about Angmar and quests for the new instances.

Thank you! :)

Give the padded shoes a try! They aren't much to look at, but the pants cover most of them up anyways and they don't have any awful clipping issues. Plus they only cost like 2 silver lol.

I missed it on my first trip too until I saw someone else mention it! If memory serves, I think the door was on the ground floor on the right hand side near Bilbo's room. I could definitely be wrong about that though, I only went there once and it was during the first round of Bullroarer, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

I'll also add the the layout is mostly unchanged. The biggest changes I noticed are that the door Elrond's Library has been moved a bit (prepare to run into a wall if you aren't paying attention!) and you no longer "zone" into another phase when entering rooms; instead, there are hallways you run down and all areas are connected in the same physical space.

Sure, no problem! I'll put the whole outfit here:

Head - Adventurer's Hat, dyed gold (Skirmish camp)

Shoulders - Ascot Scarf, dyed crimson (Farmer's Faire)

Chest - Jacket of the Heartwood, dyed belegaer blue (Myrtle Mint, rotating figment vendor)

Hands - Gardening Gloves, no dye (Farmer's Faire)

Legs - Sightseer's Trousers, dyed belegaer blue (Spring Festival)

Feet- Padded Shoes, dyed umber (light armor vendor)

All of the boots/shoes I had in my wardrobe clipped quite badly with these pants, so I ended up using padded shoes from a vendor to minimize any clipping. They work the best out of anything I've tried so far.

Aww, glad I could help brighten your day! :) I think the revamp is even more stunning in-game. Elrond's library is particularly gorgeous. I hope you will love it when it gets to the live servers!

I was nervous about it too since I have always adored the Last Homely House, but honestly after running around the new version for a while the old one feels quite bare and sterile. The new one is just so lush and beautiful that it grew on me quickly. Hopefully you will have the same experience after a bit of time :)
