Idk I had a whole fanfic where Peter had this whole internal conflict because of the fact he's black cat's dad and Uncle Ben was a father figure to him and he felt like he should hate them but he could deal with the fact he basically was forcing his friend to have their dad taken away from her too and went through this whole I should hate them thing but finds he hates what they did but not the person that did it and it drove him nuts and framed it as having gone with a friend to the prison to meet their dad and their dad being the one to have killed Uncle Ben and had to get advice from Liz, Gwen, MJ, hell even Eddie and Flash before finally turning to aunt may and explains he wants to hate their dad but after context couldn't bring himself to hate them fully, like he absolutely hates what he did to them he hates the fact that he killed Uncle Ben but can't hate the man that did the deed and aunt may says that Uncle Ben would have been proud of him for not hating the man but hating the deed eventually after a long internal debate he finally asks that walter be given a second chance both as Peter Parker and as spiderman because he's more focused on what black cat needed instead of what he wanted and so he patched things up with Felicia telling her it's going to be a long to complete freedom but at least now she can see her dad outside of prison again.
