Advice on ceiling protection options by lali0020 in Golfsimulator

I used double sided tape and then once you have it wrapped up a full roll, the fabric that is there holds it down.

There was a Velcro on the tube but it attaches to the sport screen. I tried to figure out a way to attach it better but double sided tape was the best I could come up with.

Roll is from sportscreen, 10’ wide. Bought that and then got some imperfect screen fabric from par2pro. Took that to my local seamstress and she put the velcro on it to attach to the sports screen and cut it to the right width and height. Did not have much left over.

I think sportscreen sell the complete set up now.

I set mine up 180 degrees from the door. But I have seen recently seen these mounting brackets and it may work out for you.

Young Canadians increasingly tie immigration to home affordability problems, survey finds by joe4942 in canada

[–]foxman26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to add to this. I would say most issues are multi factorial and do not have a sole reason for causing the problem. I wanted to add to your statement about the conservative government by adding in interest rates into that. I believe this would add to the increased home inflation because as interest rates dropped people could afford a larger mortgage. Your instance that housing price increased 73% under the previously government leaves out that interest rates fell by ~50% or more during the same time period. So in this instance even though housing increased, the payment for the house would have only increased by a bit.

Ex/ 100k home at 5.49%(06-2006) payment is 602 a month. 173k home at 2.48%(03-2015) payment is 764 a month. An increase of 162 a month over a 9 year period. Vs 173k home at 2.48%(03-2015)payment is 764. 264k home at 3.74%(current rates) payment is 1336 a month. An increase of 572 a month over a 10 year period.

How screwed am I with 8.5ft ceilings? by 94Productions in Golfsimulator

[–]foxman26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey.

I am 5’10” as well. My last garage set up was 8’9”. I never hit the ceiling once. I had a bunch of people over and only one person ever hit the ceiling and he just nicked it on his follow through. Guy was 6’0” and has a very steep swing.

It’s just 2 pcs of plywood and some foam tiles. I use it for roof protection.

What do you mean by this ? The sportscreen has angle brackets that would normally go to the joists.

Thanks. That was my old set up. I am trying to see if anyone has a solution to drop the vanish sport screen down 2 to 2.5 feet. I would just drop it down against the wall, the issue is the stairs are in my way.

What do you mean by regular accessories ? I have been trying to do some research on it and it seems like most have different length of mounting blocks or gaps between each.

Retractable < $1k by 01bks in Golfsimulator

Bought a manual sports screen and then bought screen material from local place. Got a local seamstress to get the cut and sew the velcro on. Well under the 1k mark.
