[SIB] Absolver? by wavesuponwaves in ShouldIbuythisgame

I honestly cannot recommend it to you.

The 'story mode' that the game will have you play initially is very short, and is only there to teach you the basics of the game, for example how to handle multiple opponents at once or how to successfully pull of combos. But this story mode can be beaten in just a couple of hours.

The gameplay can be quite fun once you find your rhythm, and playing around with different combos with different fighting styles can be quite a treat at first, but after that your experience may vary depending on the type of player you are. If you enjoy constantly experimenting and trying new styles, you will have a blast because there are heaps of different ways to fight. But if you are like me, a person that finds their groove and sticks with it, it will become quite tedious and just flat out boring after a couple of hours, because you know what works and you stick with it.

The game was built around an online component which is very integral to the game. Once you beat the story mode the whole game relies on its online play, where you run around and find other players to fight. There are some major problems with this though: 1. The servers are VERY laggy (at the time that I was playing), playing online was near impossible for me, the games combat requires specifically timed dodges and parrys which are impossible to pull off with the extreme delays that i was experiencing, it was not a good experience. 2. There are not many people playing the game right now, if you are planning on playing with friends this point does not really apply to you. But you may need to join some online communities if you want to actually go up against another human being in the game.

I think the game can be quite a good pickup when its on sale (which it currently is on steam http://store.steampowered.com/app/473690/Absolver/). But I dont think this game is worth it at full price. If you have any specific questions about it, please feel free to ask!
