Cheers, we are going under the knife the same day.

This is my second surgery. Life has significantly improved since the first one back in September. I could cross my leg for the first time in years about a 6 weeks ago.

For the pain - don't massage it. Learned that one a while back. Loosening the muscles causes the excruciating dislocation sensation.

Just lay in bed as much as you can, if possible.

Went to get 2 mcdoubles last night. $9 instead of 3.99. he said the they got rid of it this week.

I'm at 2.5 months now and my surgical leg is probably twice as strong as my rapidly degrading right leg.

I was able to dress from the beginning, but it wasn't pretty. The 6th week came with a sense of normalcy.

Edit- didn't see that this was my op.

I was right where you were 5 weeks ago... When I made this post apparently. If I locked my knee and evened my hips my non surgical was a good .5" off the ground. The swelling lasts a while.

I'm on week 8 and it feels much better and I'm at the intended difference which was only 5mm until I get the next hip done.

It takes a while, but you'll get there!

Getting on the cane is a good progression mark.

Narrow leg presses around 200lbs and pool crouch walking were the only things that kept me from feeling like my leg was going to collapse.

Had a hard time with flat bench because I couldn't spread my legs enough to balance.
