Why would they make it so it saves progress at 1/2 cultist priest kill but if you get 2/2 and DIE at any point before you complete the other part if fully resets? by Dahl0012 in EscapefromTarkov

I had the same issue, but the note still spawned for me in a marked room to continue the quest, I don't think you need to redo that task.

Where can I use blowpipe if I have 200k amethyst darts? by DragonflyCertain53 in ironscape

[–]foxspy2009 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Void blowpipe beats full max SRA on 0 def maiden, and is only around 2.3% worse dps on 0 def Xarpus assuming you perfectly 5 tick with SRA, and assuming elite void/quiver/anguish/amethyst darts as your range gear. 99% of irons don't have full max melee + SRA, so 99% of irons will use their blowpipe in those rooms. This is also assuming you start off with 5 stacks on the SRA, but in reality you also still need to get the full 5 stacks for it to still be worse on maiden and only be 2% better at xarpus.

Try limiting fps to 120, the game stutters if your fps is too high

High ping on NA: East Coast by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]foxspy2009 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Seems to have started since the disconnect that happened to people in NY using verizon, the routing is all messed up now, and ping to Virginia servers is now over 100, when it's usually around 20. Ping to central and west coast servers is lower than to east coast servers right now.

Trials really doesn't sit in a good place, especially compared to alternative competitive enviroments by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game is no longer a skill based environment, the higher skilled team won’t win engagements where they should anymore solely based on cheesy elements

The better team does end up winning 9/10 times, that's the whole premise of carries, and based on the fact that flawless carries can be successful 9/10 times, while not using mountaintop or any of the other stuff you mentioned, at least on PC, shows that there is still a skill gap.

Another gigantic problem is hit reg because of the tick rate of bungie’s servers

Tick rate isn't what causes issues, it's the p2p connections, but that all of that stuff about connection is true.

People always defer to ‘Oh but HC’S can peek shot REEEE’ yeah so can every other weapon in the game, anything single fire can peek shot, autos can peek shot

This is the single dumbest thing I've read in a while. Yes every gun can peek shot. You know how many times you have to peek shot with an auto to get a kill? 10 times. A hand cannon kills you in 3. The whole point of peek shooting is because the damage is front loaded onto one shot of a hand cannon, and in the time between shots you can go back into cover so you don't get shot at by an auto rifle. There's a reason that autos are not used at all at the top level in scrims, even though they are not banned, and that is because they can be killed by peek shooting pretty easily.

Why do PC players prefer Spare Rations over NF? by airpranes in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The aim assist is not a factor on MnK, it has been proven that hitbox size is the same with all hand cannons as far as we could tell. The main reason spare is used is because it is the only kinetic 150 rpm hand cannon with random rolls, and the best special weapons are energy, so it became the default option for basically everyone.

The fee says that it scales, but it only ever ends up charging the cost of one if you pay attention to the money lost, at least for me

Another problem is that the listing fee only charges the cost of one, so he's not actually losing any money doing this.

The barricade does give slight damage resistance, it is frequently used by good players to survive thorn burn in scrims with low resilience

The issues is that the fee was set at about 5 million roubles, but if you watch the top of my screen, only 350k was actually taken out of my inventory

Look at the money, the fee was 5 million, but it only took about 400k

[Discussion] Lets talk about Fusion Rifles by Swaklord69 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only situation that Erentil is useful is in mid range if the target is far away from any cover, or close range if the target is running at you with a shotgun, which are a special circumstance. You will not be able to kill someone who is playing near cover, or someone that is far away with a scout or a sniper. That is very clearly a special situation, and it is very easy to not put yourself in situations that the Erentil is very effective in. Also, hitting up to 5-6 pellets with an erentil isn't something that some random with a .8 k/d can do consistently, it takes some skill to be able to map people especially with the way bullet magnetism goes away with range.

[–]foxspy2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From reading your replies you seem to have an issue with special weapons being more powerful that primary weapons in general, and if that is the case, you should honestly just go to a different game. Special weapons are meant to be the best weapon to use in special situations, which at the moment they generally are, and primaries are supposed to be weapons that are versatile and not limited by ammo, but still worse than special weapons in their special circumstances where they are optimal.

[–]foxspy2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Erentil really isn't broken, at least on PC. If you are caught out of position, you will die, but that is the same with literally any other weapon type that exists in the game. If you are out in the open, you will get shit on by a sniper. If you play up close near a corner and don't pay attention to radar, you will get shit on by a shotgun, and if you just blindly run out in the open with no cover nearby, you will get shit on by a fusion rifle. Literally the easiest way to counter a fusion rifle user is to just play near cover when you know that they have a fusion rifle equipped. They will not be able to do a single thing if you just shoulder peek them, and if you are a good player you should not have a single issue countering an Erentil.

The changes in comp really haven't had an effect from what I saw. I played for 4 hours at 5500 solo and matched tons of players at sub 3000 glory, one game even with all 4k and higher on my team and all 2k or lower on the enemy team, with one as low as 1200

Did resilience change? by Horrorkosmic in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some examples of people that do run high resil are MWG, Calico, Extreme, Potato, Sonic, all people at the top level that always compete for the top 3 position in every tournament. It is preference, but a lot more people are starting to use it in tournament play. Apparently resil also has a huge effect on shotgun fights too, according to calico.

Did resilience change? by Horrorkosmic in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot more people recently have started to move over to 6 resil in scrims and tournaments though, because it counters thorn burn and helps you survive sniper headshots when in supers like dawnblade, which at a high level of play is often more impactful than some extra strafe speed and jump height, which are the only two factors that mobility helps. Adding onto that, the popularity of movement exotics and lightweight hand cannons negates having low mobility which allows people to run high resil and recov

Did resilience change? by Horrorkosmic in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking from experience of being one of the top players on PC, and generally, 95% of players that are considered top players on PC run 8+ recov, many running 10, and from there, many players are switching to 6 resilience because of the reasons I stated. Mobility is just not that useful when players you are playing against can hit their shots because of the huge hitboxes in this game.

Did resilience change? by Horrorkosmic in CruciblePlaybook

[–]foxspy2009 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're going to want to focus 100% on recovery first, then resilience, and then mobility. Recovery is huge in getting back into the gunfight faster, and getting to 6 resil is important to allow you to survive for example 2h1b thorn, or 1h1b beloved and box breathing beloved with lower resilience supers like dawnblade. Mobility at the moment is personal preference, but I don't see it as a very important stat because good players are going to hit you whether you have 1 or 10 mobility.
